Just wanted to say...some fans, myself included, have contacted jenette goldstein (vasquez). She seemed VERY open to the possibility of consenting likeness etc. I (and others) have passed the info along to randy (head of product development at neca). Who know what will happen, but neca stated they wanted to do vasquez. Goldstein stated that she didnt remember hearing from neca and basically made it sound like neca was welcome to contact her concerning using her likeness for the purposes of vasquez etc.
just thought id pass the info along to everyone. cross your fingers.

It doesn't look like NECA even asked some of the other actors yet. J. Goldstein just got involved in communication with NECA after a fan brought the figures to her attention via twitter. Maybe they'll be able to work something out so we can get a Vasquez figure.

And if I'm following it correctly it looks like she herself is suggesting that maybe NECA are waiting to see how Hicks and Hudson sell.

I got high hopes for the Queen, of course there is a part of me prepared for some disappointment as it is a low end figure. NECA did tweet that they will test retail market with $50 figures and if sucessful after Queen then they may rethink the Spider Gremlin. I would not have a issue paying $100 for a 1/6 scale Queen!

We do think alike! Make her a large in-scale box set with a hive! I'd pay TOP dollar if they did that right!

NECA just tweeted the Queen will be in the same scale as the Marines/Warriors but cant tell size until they start to sculpt in March/April.

I think a Vasquez figure would be more important than an Apone Figure, I mean, Vasquez seems like a more important character to get first no? (I could live without the Apone figure)

Also the Ripley figure could just come without any guns, I know Sigourney Weaver is against guns in toys, but I am sure NECA could just compromise in that no? I rather have a Ripley figure with no gun than no Ripley at all.

Companies have found their way around this before. I believe it was GeoMetric Designs back in the 90’s that release a licensed Ripley kit that came with a Motion Tracker. Several months later they release an Aliens Accessories kit that among other things came with an arm that fit the Ripley body and a Flamethrower/Pulserifle. If Neca gets the approval as well as the same restriction they can always pack in the weapon with Marine or Alien variant in her wave thus ensuring the sale of at least two figures each time a Ripley is purchased.

I mean, I remember reading months ago, (maybe a year ago) somewhere in this forum (or maybe another forum) how there was always the issue with a Ripley figure and guns, but it always made me think, Why not just make it without the gun. I mean sounds so simple to me.
I really hope NECA tries to make a Ripley.

I dont know, it really wouldn't be good without her. I wouldnt get one by itself

The sideshow diorama has the queen and the powerloader AND ripley driving all in the same scale but I'm guessing you mean figures

I say its pretty close to 1:18 scale. The Hot Toys "snap kits" look right at home piled on there!
