I wonder why then NECA opted to use the translucent skin on the Dutch figures where very little skin is exposed? Hmmm.
Still think NECA should finally be the first company to do a real Ripley. no guns. I'm totally fine with that. I don't see why Sigourney wouldn't be either.
^Is there any reason we can't get an answer on why the above scenarios aren't possible? Its suggested so often and by so many that one has to think at least someone at NECA or Hot Toys has thought of it too.
the line needs more different types of "alien" from games and comics and yea even kenner ones xD rather then being flooded with human characters. i got maybe 7 different ones but im not the type that likes to buy "army bulders" so my aliens are looking small for a swam compared to my predators.
I would say human characters are a long time coming rather than suggest that the line is being ''flooded'' by them. All we've ever gotten before this is Aliens, the McFarlane Hicks excepted. Its only about time we got marines and Dutch from Predator.
the line isnt going to be flooded? if there really is 3 different types of hicks and hudson's that right there means they put out more humans then aliens not counting if they add more character space marines ok they kick *** but when neca gets done with them people would want human characters based on the other alien films instead of letting the line stay more alien based is all im saying. i mean the thing with ripley ok sigourney weaver doesnt want to do an action figure why push it any further.
OK but in the broader context of figures from the Alien films since the McFarlane days at least theres been sweet F all human figures. I for one am not going to complain now that they are happening. To do so kinda sets up a ''damned if they do damned if they don't'' scenario.
NECA will never have any hesitation in putting out aliens. We're lucky right now to be getting humans.
tbh humans dont really sale well as a creature type chatacters in alien / predator type franchises, i mean when u think aliens the first thing u think about is the alien not the space marine same with predator. however if it was a human themed movie yea ofcourse they would sale say like rocky, rambo. though i know if neca made expendables figures people would also be buying them , just had to put that out there.

I dont want this to sound rude or like I am attacking you, but I couldnt disagree more. Perhaps your right, and maybe I am in the minority, but I absolutely think "Colonial Marines" when I think Aliens.
Further, as I said earlier, I have a shelves full of aliens. FULL OF THEM. Between the 6 movies (including AvP ones) and between McFarlane, Neca, Aoshima and any number of other less popular company build multiples of each, there are dozens and DOZENS of aliens. I have only one bum marine!
F'n A right.
I've made the same observation in the past and its something that has annoyed me. Firstly until now I don't think human characters in these franchises have been given a fair shot. Its not like we're talking guys in suits here. They're soldiers with big guns and one of them is even Arnold Schwarzennegger (Predator, obviously) - usually that sells.
Secondly it just annoys me in principle that there was ever a reluctance to do these exciting human characters just because they happen to share the screen with monsters when you consider the relatively boring human characters that other lines from crappy fad-movies get.
if your not talking about "suits" here how would ripley fit in? i know once she / if she gets made people will start asking for a newt figure and that would lead to a wanted burke and so on and so on see where im going?, and i kinda agree the space marines are epic and would make cool figures but as far as humans that would be enough.
