Thanks for that. If anything, I hate the Predators even more now. :rotfl

So Predator is to some NECA collectors what Iron Man is to some Hot Toys collectors - a total ****ing nuisance getting every silly variant under the sun while your favorite license gets cancelled or noticeably reduced in priority.

Not including helmets, or alternate heads with helmets, for the single-packed Hicks and Hudson, but instead expecting collectors to buy entirely seperate figures (in two-packs, no less) simply to get the helmets that should have been included in the first place, just comes off as simple greed.

Greed? You forget they're running a business, as much as NECA employees love their job they still have to make money. The nice thing is, the variants help pay for the molds of figures that might otherwise not see the light of day. More importantly, since their business is profitable, they can afford to put out a few figures that probably don't sell well but mean a lot to the diehards out there (i.e.- Evil Dead).

I love Iron Man and Predator. It's been a wonderful couple of years for me :nana:

That's right.

i think some people are thinking neca should make aliens figures based off predators success , i mean how many helmet to no-helm versions of predators did we get? too many but there wasnt too much complaining about it cause fans wanted more anyways. now they are doing it to the alien line with the marines and all the sudden its greed on their part. Wake up we are lucky neca is even making the maines this is what? alien series 1 and we get the maines while predators is on wave 8 (which honestly the predator line could do good without any humans characters). i mean really though u want neca to take funds from the predator line to make new characters of humans for aliens instead of them raising thier own money to continue the line by making different versions of the same character, now thats real greed.

greed? lol. the POINT of being in business is to turn a profit. neca does a better job than most of satisfying fanbase wishlists. The reuse/repaint approach funds some of the other, more esoteric figures.

My small Alien/s collection. Can't wait for the new NECA figures to drop.

That's pretty much what I said. :hi5:

the problem is when those extra repaints don't sell and then they end up cancelling the licence all together. First Gremlins and now Prometheus.

Prometheus hasn't been cancelled yet and the series does not have any repaints.

What Kobe said. Although the writing is on the wall, the prometheus line hasnt been cancelled yet. Id say we have a 50/50 chance of seeing series 3 (Post series 3....doubt it). aside from the body on the "battle damaged" pressure suit engineer, the line has consisted of completely original figures. Series 3, should it come out, will have new sculpts for everything but fifield's body and the paint apps will all be new. They've purposefully held the reuse stuff until the end in an effort to "help the line along" (randy falk). This is why they booted Holloway from series 2; neca wanted to increase the chances of getting to series 3.
Look....im the biggest prometheus nut around (both the film and the plastic) so believe me, i will be very unhappy if the prometheus line gets cancelled prior to the birth of series 3. However, i gotta say, Neca does right by their fanbase more often than any other toy company i can think of. I hear what you are saying crows...Though, at the end of the day, its all about profit margins.
