I have to say NECA are by far more willing to try and keep there fanbase happy than any other toy company. Mcfarlane showed there true colours when they made up reasons that certain licences ie Hellraiser,Hannibal Lecter could be not be done only for NECA to give the fans and the retailers what they wanted.

If the Prometheus line dies it is because not enough people are buying them end of story.I have found them to be poor sellers most only want the Engineer in pressure suit and its the reason i have not ordered any more after my initial order. The last set of Predators was the same all any one wanted was Big Red Neca should go back to offering solid cases not assortments. If NECA went back to this way of offering figures we could pre-order what we wanted and know we can sell.

A great example is the Exorcist box set and i expect the Predator trophy wall will be the same lots of demand for it but when it comes out only a few people buy it.I think the only exception will be ED209 that will sell out.

Just to clarify, the trophy walls are made to order. If you didn't get your order in by March 15, you're going to have to buy one on the aftermarket. In other words, in this situation, 1 pre-order = 1 trophy wall produced.

In my discussions with Randy, he said they will eventually release the edition size. Currently he estimates no more than 5,000 were ordered.

I love the stand on that grid alien on the right... is that mcfarlane?

And the grid alien on the left is that palisades?

Yeah, you are spot on with both of those, Vitus. It's a McFarlane Grid Alien on the right and the Pallisades cold cast Grid Alien statue at the back on the left.

I've got the McFarlane Hicks as well, and one each of the Neca Big Chap Alien and the Neca Cameron Aliens figures. My other Big Chap is the Skynet Aoshima figure, which has good articulation but the sculpt isn't as nice as the Neca one. Comes with a cool little diorama though.

Just dug a whole box of Mcfarlane and NECA aliens out. Got carded and loose. If anyone is interested hit me up. I don't really have the space to hold these anymore.

I know NECA are focussing on figures from the Aliens movie at the moment, but are there plans to do lines based on Alien3, Alien: Ressurection and the AvP movies as well?

I believe they recently announced that there will indeed be an Alien 3 Dog Alien figure at some point in the future. Don't think they said anything about Alien: Resurrection or AvP. They are making the predators from AvP this year though.

They've already made both predators and aliens from AvP:R.

as has been stated, neca is primarily focusing on Aliens. Randy did, in passing, mention something about the xeno from alien 3. He's been pretty clear about the fact that Aliens (1986) is the number one priority and, if the line is successful, neca has plans to do figures from Alien (1979). One of the confirmed figures for aliens series 2 is a complete resculpt of the 1979 giger alien. Also, randy said that kane and dallas are on his wishlist. I dont have a clue about AVP or insurrection stuff.

I think Randy has his priorities straight this time! Aliens priority #1. Alien to follow. then....eh...all that other 'stuff' if there is time.:wink1:

I didn't hear that they had in mind figures like Kane and Dallas. Presumably in space-suits like the HT figures. And Lambert, as ever, destined never to get a figure.

I'd love to have confirmation on that (that they will actually happen) because then I'd add my Hot Toys Dallas FS aswell as the Kane I'm trying to sell. I do want that spacesuit represented in my collection but at this point would happily just have low-end figures.

yeah...id love to have kane and dallas as well. And, i agree, the re-use possibilities would fit right into neca's business model. hehe.

i cant confirm that kane and dallas are going to happen (because thats not what randy said). However, i can confirm that randy falk stated that the two aforementioned figures are on his "wish list". we'll see.

He mentioned them as part of the aliens line that is about to hit. When you add the fact that Giger Alien resculpt is already pretty much confirmed for series 2, to me it looks like neca is comfortable spending time on both alien and aliens...which is a good thing.

Also, dunno if you guys have seen the new ET prop (huge)?? Im not buying the thing, but the point is that its hundreds of dollars and is a 1:1 replica (i think). The fact that neca is willing to make this massive ET gives me hope that we could one day get a Space jockey chair that is to scale w the 7"figures. What a dream come true that would be!

I don't think I'm going to get the lifesize ET but I do like NECAs prop & Lifesize offererings and I hope they keep them coming. Currently I'm waiting for Cherry Darling's Leg Gun from Grindhouse: Planet Terror. I have the Hellraiser Lament Configuration and some other stuff they put out and it looks good in my Movie room, my wife said it's starting to look like Planet Hollywood in there :yess:
