Just saw this in my Facebook feed. Maybe there's a Newt in there for someone to snag.

Good things turn up when you move. Like that comic book you swore you loaned to an ex-friend (behind the dresser) or the custom dice you got for your birthday (under the stove).

Just had Vaquez & Frost turn up. I've not upacked them, but holy hell they look perfect. Sculpt and paintwork are superb!

I seriously doubt Frost looked perfect. I've seen few of them up close and they all looked like ****, especially the neck and hands areas. Face ain't that great either. Still don't understand what kind of game they're playing.

This makes me still hope for them to do at least one more Alien 3 Ripley, the one where she is first recovered from the EEV and she's in those prison clothes with the huge jacket that almost swallows her up. That harrowing look on her face, coupled with the damage her face received from the crash, makes for such a sombre character in the series.

Got my hands on the 1/4th Translucent Big Chap and surprisingly enough, he's far sturdier than my regular Big Chap (I had to modify the Kaiser stand to stop the leg warping). The dome is a bit malformed (still fixing that) but an awesome figure.

I can't believe I just now noticed this but Frost doesn't have the US flag or the USCM patch on his BDU's. I wonder if it was just an oversight or cost cutting move? Is there anybody creating decals at this scale or has anybody tried to remove the patches from other Marines with success?

Kinda want the Vasquez to hold me over until HT redoes her(hopefully). I can't justify $400 on a figure with a so-so head sculpt, even if she is considered a "grail" for some.

That's a missed opportunity for them. Nowadays they could really nail the head sculpts and they already have the license. Those old ones just don't do anything for me.

Which still amazes me. There are a lot of fans of Aliens itself who also collect HT, but also you have guys who just love figures in that scale but also guys who love military soldier toys too. The market for the marines would be way bigger than the Alien itself would attract.

Yeah, so far the only HT figures I have are the Classic and P2 Elder Preds, but if they re-did the Marines I would get them all and it would push me over the edge to get the new Warrior figure. Plus they could have a lot of re-use across bodies, outfits and accessories to cut down on costs.

i'm more interested why use pink plastic and then cover it with paint.
my isolation alien is red under the paint.
why not just take black plastic from the start?

I think thats it, one is black and the other I think is clear so you can see the skeletal work underneath.
