Yeah, what bigbisont said. Also, just be aware, I believe that there are two versions of the Perseus figure. A clean version and a dirty version so make sure you get the one that you want depending on what look you want your marine to have. Pre drop or post drop...

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, they did release 2 different versions of Perceus and I just bought the clean version for a custom Wierzbowski. If Neca does release a Ski figure later I'll gladly buy several as well.

Not only this, but the green tone they used isn't the same as first one. I don't really like it that much.

Anyone else hope we get a marine or another human reveal for the latest facehugger friday on twitter ? It would be fitting to go along with the accessory pack revealed a few weeks ago and also a break from the constant xenos.

True. I am guessing we will really not get any new marine reveals until the next toy fair or the next lv 426 Alien Day.

I think more marines or even variants of existing ones could be a good bit into the future. We still haven't seen Lambert in full if I'm not mistaken and there's also the Alien Resurrection wave to come.

That's right. Randy has mentioned a while now on twitter that the Resurrection wave is being worked on, so maybe that'll be the next big wave reveal after Lambert's series. Still, personally I cannot wait to hear what the final figure reveals are for the Alien3 creature pack as well as the packaging for it.

if Resurrection was confirmed, i'd be obliged to buy A2 and A3 Ripley and finish the line with A4.
i wonder if i need to start doing it now. the problem is i don't like/need A2/A3 role of Ripley or toy of Ripley. especially A2.

i don't know why. i just guess all human characters there looked bad to me. disastrously stupid marines and alpha-male monkey Ripley. i think Cameron cannot write so many characters at once or was just a lazy-ass at the moment. i don't know. i just don't like any role in A2 except for the Bishop and probably Vasquez.
i love the A2 movie from the beginning to the end, if anything, as much as i hate A1 movie for anything except the planet/Derelict sequence.
and the scene deleted by stupid scott, of course - alien lair.

I've always been partial to Ripley, Newt and Bishop. Never had a problem with the macho Ripley thing, made sense to me that she would toughen up and go after Newt. Mothers in the animal kingdom can get pretty ferocious when they're protecting their young. Especially for Ripley having already lost her biological daughter. And I grew up watching women like Ripley and Sarah Connor, so strong women just seemed normal to me.

Fair enough. I'm not a fan of short hair across the board. Some women can pull it off. Some can't. I was a big fan of Sigourney's shaved noggin in Alien 3, so I obviously have no problem with her A2 cut.

yeah that's all perfectly ok, but when combined with super lame marines... either your civilians are even dumber than military - or explore the subject and make normal military.
Ripley was the only soldier among those freaks.
and that's the fail of the script, not its feature.

One thing that bothered me about Ripley's role in Aliens is how she took charge and the Marines were left looking like if she wasn't there they wouldn't have a clue what to do. They should have balanced it out a little more imo and made Hicks look more like a take charge guy. I mean Ripley was basically running the surviving Marines once they got back to the Op center and you would think Colonial Marines who were trained to deal with these situations would immediately take charge instead of deferring to a civilian. I appreciate the strong female lead but I just think Cameron took it a little far.

The thing I hate about ALIENS is that they made the alien species "shoot em ups". That's why I feel that ALIEN 3 (director cut) is the real sequel to ALIEN.

I have a few custom Colonial Marines, I've posted some on the AVPG forum but I've started reworking a lot of them.
