It really is odd that they are not doing any human characters from Covenant. I was for certain that they would at least do Daniels and Walter.

Still if we get that creepy white proto xeno or the back burster I will be happy.

The movie has been out since Thursday at my local cinema.
As for answers, there weren't any. Just more questions.

!* Spoilers ahead. Look away*!
Shaw didn't get her answers to the questions proposed in Prometheus. No, it seems she didn't quite get there...
Who laid those eggs? It seems that was David's tinkering...
Gestation period =0? Hey, David's just started, give him a break! But seriously, these are first generation xenos, who knows exactly how they mutate further
Airlock....AGAIN! See Alien 1, 2 & 4? I'm not sure there are many other ways of getting rid of an alien inside a spaceship, in space, without destroying the ship
Did they just "Alien3" Shaw? Yup
LV426 are we ever getting there? If this makes enough money, then sure, we'll get there
T1000 Walter? He did say he was enhanced
Chestburster or Mini-Xeno? There's always been minute differences from one to the next. As a matter of fact, in Prometheus the Deacon is almost fully grown, as are the neo-xenomorphs... so it seems the development actually got slower as they mutated more
Lol....communication with an Alien!? Hahaha! Why not... they were capable of learning and communicating, and clearly David was engineering them to be the "perfect organism"
And the worst of all.."Idle hands". Really!? Didn't bother me at all, seemed actually quite plausible for a character such as David

Opinions/comments in the spoiler tag.

I am hoping that Randy's "no plans" comment does not mean "will never make", as I too would like some non-creature characters from Covenant. Maybe if the neomorph and new xenomorph sell well enough, they'll consider making more figures from the film.

Considering his quotes regarding the 'lost wave' from Prometheus, it seems highly unlikely. Paraphrasing loosely, he called the 'lost wave' a "Favor to the fans". He implied they wont make any money on it and pre-order numbers of the 'lost wave' prove that despite all the 'demand', no one actually buys the human figures.

The creatures make them their money. Non-iconic humans just don't (and even the iconic ones are like pulling teeth with those guys to take the risk).

We don't quite get a look at what the two other figures Danny was given here, but I'm willing to bet it's the Neomorph and an accessory pack judging by the size of the packaging.

Your correct, but they're also the only figures neca is releasing from Covenant for now.

The US market is one of the last to get the films released. The international market is more profitable these days,so everything debuts their first. It's quicker for the studios to get their initial investment back that way.If a film doesn't make back it's initial investment (the cost of the film) within the typical opening weekend it's considered a financial flop.If they make back their initial investment, plus additional ticket sale revenue, then it's a financial success. All merchandising revenue is just pure profit after that!

The original Predator film didn't make back the initial cost to make the film until recently! It was a financial flop. However. it's a hugely popular franchise.

Actually, there was a whole lot more than what Cameron added, he just added the queen and made them bugs.
Not really. They were always bugs, even to Ridley Scott, but without Cameron Alien would just be another one of those films riding the coattails of Star Wars in the late 70s/early 80s.

No, by the time Cameron arrived, there was the derelict, the space jockey, the eggs, the facehugger, the chest burster, the acid blood, the company, the androids, etc etc. Cameron only added the bug element that ultimately was the downfall of the franchise. Not only that he got us one of the ugliest designs for the Alien in the whole franchise.

The alien was clearly the farthest thing from a bug, it has more in comon with a sabana predator than with any bug, Idk what sort of statement Scott has made to contradict what the movie clearly depicts.

I wasn't alive back then to know whether or not people thought of this as a SW clone of sorts, when in fact Alien along with SW was one of the many vestigial of the doomed Dune movie.

Cameron made a cool action flick, fair enough, one that undermined everything the Alien is supposed to be, but cool nonetheless.

Don't get me wrong, I do love aliens and I'd still take it over all these cash grabbing sequels/prequels.

While the quality of the figures may be questionable, that's some classy packaging. Glad they're going with boxes for non-ultimate figures. More collector-friendly and it improves the value of the overall product. Now if they'd only beef up their paint apps.

so A3, A4, AVP, AVPR and Crapenant designs don't exist, it was all just my nightmare? woo-hoo!:yess:
Well Alien 3 has the second best Alien design [emoji6]

I have never disagreed with someone on the subject of Alien/Aliens so much in my life.
