$42 shipped for a variant figure I didn't really want based on a reference I don't get was enough to dissuade me from picking up the Sewer Alien. So my collection will never be "complete", but I'm ok with that. If they end up making Resurrection figures I'll never buy the Newborn (worst thing to ever happen to the franchise, IMO) so I'll never be 100% complete anyway.

That's how i felt about Kenner Vasquez! Newborn is something I would definitely buy though, Im one of the few that actually likes Resurrection lol

NECA preys on the completists.

Yes they certainly do bro, no doubt about it. Same with Hasbro.

I actually like Resurrection quite a bit...until the Newborn shows up. Not sure why, but that design rubbed me the wrong way from the moment I laid eyes on it. Just totally ruined the movie for me. But everyone should collect what they like, so I hope they knock it out of the park for ya!

NO head set:slap:horror

It looks like this is air ducks Vasquez. It may be a continuity error but she is wearing the headset in Ops when the Xenos drop from the ceiling but not after they all move into the air ducts.

The figure looks good except I think they are just using the same head from the first Vaz. If so, I wonder if the production figure will keep the teardrop this time.

Hell yeah bud, so refreshing to see fellow collector have a good attitude about folks being into different things! Cheers! :duff

Delighted to see this but the lack of Ops battle headset is a tad disappointing.

From the quotes they use on twitter it seems like this is based on her appearance immediately after the Sub Level 03 battle when they're back in the APC? And as such is presumably good for the 'Game Over man' scene like the original Hicks and Hudson releases.

Lets have the big guns weigh in on this. Where's Bigbisont and Jester?

Figures came out great. Minor nit picks, Vickers eyebrows are too dark, the black mascara makers her eyes appear squinty, the prototype had light brows and eyeliner. Her pupils are too large, obscuring the pale blue of her eyes. I'd say because of the paint app, she's the weakest of the three. Because of Shaws hair, her head doesn't appear to fit too good inside lower part of helmet, her head to high on her neck. Both women share the same body, but Vickers has problems standing, mine anyway. Very stiff joints, even after boiling water they go back to extremely stiff. Haven't yet been able to get Fifields helmet on, the shape of his head makes it difficult. Probably have to remove the head, put helmet on first, than the head. The glass of his helmet appears totally black in production pics, but it is transparent. The figures are great none the less and appreciate them. Think if they had gone a different direction with the release of the Prometheus line, more of the characters over the repaint engineers, we might have gotten the captain, Milford and Hallaway.

Uffff... same body :pazzo:

Finally! Love these 2 reveals, both look exactly how I imagined they would. It's about time we got Ripley in her jacket, and that Vasquez looks perfect imo.

2 Reveals today? Nice!

Both figures getting bought, obviously. Both have minor disappointing aspects - Vasquez could have done with a second headsculpt with headset - and Ripley here will not allow for the full blue jumpsuit look, that's going to have to be a separate figure if they'd be so inclined to make yet another version...which I hope they will - an Ops battle/air ducts escape Ripley. Based on what I'm looking at from the film you should also be able to see her white vest under the jumpsuit top - it's possible a part of that sculpt right in the centre represents her vest and should have been painted white...easy fix if so.

Anyway for the present time, splendid to see these. :)
