YES, these are the best alien and predator figures out there in their scale,i like them better even more then hot toys figures.

NECA's Wolf is nice, but of the 3 AVPR figures out (not counting variants) I'd rank him last. I'd say Predalien has the best overall look with pose and paint apps, followed by the Alien warrior and Wolf in last. Wolf's legs are really nicely done, but some aspects of the posing and articulation of the upper body aren't the best looking, particularly the right arm.

I agree.... I like the look of the Alien and Predalien, they are nicely done. Those are an improvement over McFarlanes Alien version. It's just that Wolf figure...the forehead crease, armor and face color variation really do this figure in IMO. Also a base would have been nice!

I was surprised by no base, but I really only care about bases when they're needed, like the warrior and Predalien, but Wolf can stand on his own. Considering that the warrior and Predalien recycle the same base, it's not like Wolf not including one was a cost saver, I think they just figured he didn't need one.

I think the paint apps on Wolf are about 90% great, the only points that aren't as good as they could be are the detailing on the revealed face and the mask is a bit too silver and could use a black wash.

I'm not gonna say your opinion is wrong, because you're entitled to it, but I'm just wondering why you like NECA better?

Is it the scale? I do know these big guys take up a lot of room, but man I love em!

I have the NECA Wolf's too, they really are great for their scale.

I'm sure there are more than a few. It was a joke. But comparing NECA's Preds to Hot Toys Pred's is ridiculous. I'm sure if someone offered you a choice...you'd go with the HT product. You know this....I know this....everyone knows this.

( i've sold all the hot toys predators i had, they are cool, but for the price, and easy breakage, and lack of accuracy in faces, oversized heads , etc. i'd rather have neca's.i have other hot toys, such as battle damaged t=800, rambo 3,power loader w/ ripley,but i am going to sell them also,sometime in the near future.

Easy breakage? maybe the Alien figures...not the Preds. And you don't get more accurate than the latest face sculpts. And PS...Predators have big heads!
So, you'd rather have limited articulation...terrible sculpts....obvious creases....paint not matching...no stand...limited accessories... need I say more? Wait till these NECA's are out a while if you want to see breakage. Also the HT's Preds actually rise in value...even out of the package. These NECA's are a dime a dozen... and look the part. Like I said everyone has their opinion but trying to compare NECA to Hot Toys is just ridiculous. Like trying to compare a VW to a Ferrari. You think HT's Preds are expensive now? Wait until you try an get 'em again. LOL

I don't understand why people are even comparing the two. They're meant for different markets, after all. You can NOT compare a $140+ figure to a $15 figure...

Exactly. Like I said before, NECA and HT Wolf are great additions to their respective scale and market.

I think overall, the quality of the NECA figures is quite nice for a $15 price point, you can't get a basic Star Wars figure for much under $7 nowadays, and the quality isn't even comparable.

Well they can break easily(HT) that is if you don't handle them w/care. Even though I don't own the NECA Predators now I can see where someone may like them over HT Wolf. First off is the price, for a good looking wolf that's only 16.00 compared to a good looking 150.00 plus figure, if I didn't have the money I wouldn't of ordered both I would've gotten NECA's. Second is that some people don't really care for HTs' sculpts, which is just a personal opinion. Hope this makes sense.

Of course there are no hard feelings. I'm just trying to explain that you can't compare NECA and HT's that's it. There's no comparison as others have said...they are targeted for 2 different buyers...high end and low end collectors.
Now, I started by saying that IMO the NECA's aren't even as nice as McFarlanes which weren't that great. I have had both figures in my hand and that's my opinion. There's NO bias and I could care less either way. Just my observation....McToys look and feel like higher quality figures.

Allot of the body breakage was with the Aliens figures...which I don't collect. I have 6 HT's Preds and never had any breakage issues. Let face it, some people try to get extreme poses on these...they're going to break. Also, if you don't get HT's Wolf isn't NECA's pretty much your only other alternative as far as figures? And that is a good point Elder...if money wasn't an issue nobody would choose NECA over HT's.

I meant pose able figures but yeah that is one awesome sculpt there! And Joe does a bangup job painting those!

Anyone here think Neca did a better job with the paint app. on their Predalien compared to Hot Toys?

I sure do.

I mean, Hot Toys prototype looks good, but its stock counterparts look a little bland.

Neca production run looks close to their prototype.
