I know I'll be completely envious but... I'd really like to see what he gave you. You TOTALLY deserve whatever you got!

And PLEASE post picks!

Through a series of misunderstandings, I believe Randy blocked me from his twitter feed. I was complaining that Entertainment Earth completely screwed me out of a Lawgiver Statue and he somehow took it the wrong way.

Thanks very much... I appreciate that. :)

I am taking better pics tonight- But it is a test shot prototype of Conquest Caesar... And a 2-up resin proto of the un-helmeted unproduced Urko head. :) The Urko is especially amazing to me since he is one of my fav Apes characters.

WOW... that is totally insane!

That Urko head is a thing of beauty! How does it compare in size to the 12" ape heads? It should be pretty close to 1:6 scale... maybe a tad bigger.

Congratulations! You are one lucky monkey!

And I too would like to personally thank you, for ALL that you did to mobilize the Ape army to support this line. We gave it our best!

And PLEASE more pics!

That Urko is great.
NECA should consider selling copies of the two ups and recouping more of their investment from other collectors.

Nice scale comparison Proto, very good! Thanks for posting and long time, no here! Kent:wave

Very cool sallah, congratulations. You did a great job trying to keep the line alive!

This line was one of my favorites and so sad that it is dead... I made a video for you guys to show off what I got. Enjoy! Let the heart of this awesome line live on with what we got.

I hate to say this... but every time I see NECA product at TRU I get just a little bit angry. My head starts to fill with bitter thoughts.

"Were those 8" Interstellar figures REALLY a good idea, NECA? My TRU has only sold one set! They've sold more 8" Taylors and Gorilla Soldiers than that!"

"Are those 8" Home Alone figures REALLY gonna sell more than any more Apes? Who is gonna sink more than $75 for a set of those!"

"Was the Series Three bundle pack REALLY the lowest selling exclusive? My TRU hasn't sold a single set of those Pacific Rim abominations... along with those damn Rambo figures!"

Sorry, NECA... it still hurts.

Yea, at $29 each, there's no way Home Alone outsells these. What a crock. The line wasn't meeting their standards by Alien or Predator so they scrapped it. 7inch Bright Eyes made too much sence. I'm at the point where I can't look at mune in the shelf knowing there were more coming.

Its great too see everyone posting here again! After the lines death seemed like this forum died! Anywho I too think there choice to cancel this line and make other lack luster lines was kinda dumb. Almost every toysrus by me had the bundle packs! Recently i've gone back to see if maybe I would pick a few more up but there all gone. The only thing I see left is 8" gorillas mostly a few taylors here and there, and 7 inch Zaius's and the 2pk gorillas. Cornilius and Zira seemed to have been very popular and hard to find cause i never saw them that much at toysrus, and the series 1 gorilla sold like hot cakes! I think they should have kept the line alive and just made it more exclusive and not produce as many figs. Also if you guys have f.y.e's in you area they sell pota figs. Just a week ago they had series 1, 1 gorilla 1 zauis and 2 Cornilius.

I'm not so sure on Home Alone. They're for a niche market and said market is looney for the season; they'll buy a lot of merch related to it. NECA successfully kicks out A Christmas Story product yearly and it flies off the shelves. I can see why these would sell as well as expected.

That being said I do think that a 7" Taylor was the big misstep of the line; however I don't believe it would have saved it.

I agree... A Taylor would have been great for those of us buying the line, but him being made would not have made a difference to the line's life. I mean honestly- How many folks do you know that absolutely refused to buy anything until Taylor was made? There are probably not many at all that TRULY would have bought into the line based only on Taylor being on the pegs.

If you are an Apes fan that collects toys, you bought these regardless of Taylor. And that is the market for the line. It didn't need the casual buyer that sees Taylor and just picks him up... Just like Predator needs the guys that aren't just in it for a Dutch and Classic Predator to keep going, this line needed the folks who would still be buying it if a wave consisted of Veska, Julius, and a TV Gorilla Soldier.

There just weren't enough of us that would do that for it to be profitable. It sucks... But we did still get one heckuva line.

Honestly even if Taylor didn't save the line I would of love to have him in my collection... Even Ape-onauts would of been a joy for me...

Frustrating thing is the Ape-onauts were already in development. Sucks that the line ended, so many great figures were already made.
