don't get me wrong, i don't have any problem with having 2 separate headsculpts. and i could see how the berserker's face probably wouldn't fit in that mask and still look like the movie. but for regular preds like P1/P2, i could see how having removable mandibles and plugging the helmets in that way would work just fine. anyway, if you say it won't work, then i guess it won't work.

and i understand all too well that NECA is an action figure company. but because of the great sculpts, there's no reason they have to stay JUST an action figure company. Sideshow used to make action figures with great sculpts and now they're making some of the best high-end figures in the world. there's no time like the present, the fans want nice big high quality preds and aliens. you guys have been around for like 15 years or so, it's time to jump on the high-end wagon.

The deal is - in reality the face masks did not "fit" over a pred mask - the whole face was removed -- look at the pics where Kevin Peter Halls whole face is sticking out of the suit -- everything was sculpted onto it and the mask was in front of his own face -- no room for the pred face at all - not just the mandibles

yeah i know, but i figured that had more to do with the comfort of the actor in the costume and the delicate nature of the animatronic face.

I don't know if you know scott marshall but the stunt p1 helmet that goes perfectly on his p1 head sculpt

Tankity tank tank tank....

If you guys are doing another 19 inch Predator, you're going to lose a ton of sales if the netting is not improved upon.

You really believe that? I don't at all. I know guys want a better netting but the factory has us by the balls in many ways. I think the netting is OK. Could it be better heck yeah but getting the factory to give us what we want is like pulling teeth. Remember what you are getting for 70 bucks at Toys AU. It seems only one guy has even found a good netting while customizing this thing.

Dave did a great job on it and he also did Trackers armor while I did Trackers mask. Not sure about the netting on the Elder or P2 if we make them bigger and like everybody else I'd love to have all these guys made at the larger scales. I think the detail is fine at 8 inches but the paint will be tough on some of these guys. The new factory seems to be having a tough time with the smaller scale Predators and that really disappoints me.
I told Randy about it and he said ALL the factories suck. If you think back for the last 15 years with McFarlane and us there has aways been issues and there aways will be I guess. I'm glad to know the dog seems to be fine.

is this hound supose to have a tongue?
i just noticed the one i have don't, i know the ht hound does.

i'll trust a NECA sculpt over a HT sculpt any day. NECA isn't always right, but they cultivate a premium on accuracy while HT is more likely to just wing it because they can.

I have to disagree Kyle.

All of the Wolf Pred figs I have all have brilliant paint apps.

Yeah, the seam on the head is distracting...but they were painted perfectly. Not a weird eye, misplaced netting paint app, or stuck joint among them.

Not sure what changed between then and now...but it is a shame.

And I'm a HUGE fan dude...love all of NECA's figs.

I just see a big disparity between the quality of the AvP:R figs and the recent stuff.

Did you see the latest Wolf figures at TAU? It's the same factory that did the first Wolf figures. They are by far worst now. How about Alien and Aliens figures compared to the old AVPR Alien? You just never know what they give us.

haha yeah those reissue wolf figures are pretty terrible. my local TRU got like 2 cases of them a couple months ago and they still haven't sold a single one. i hope that doesn't happen to future reissues.

my first release series wolf predators and avp-r aliens were painted great too, no breakage problems or stuck joints.
but as soon as the alien from alien and the warrior from aliens began to come out, things changed , sloppy paint, broke arms, legs right out of the package, things have not much changed since, my terminator 1 figures were very bad, the predator hound is the best i've seen ,since the avp-r line,.

the series 1 and 2 re-released predators line was the same for me, i was very diappointed, and got rid of them at a big loss.

That just doesn't make sense to me.

How can quality drop so drastically in the same factory? :cuckoo:

I have one of the new masked Wolfs from TRU. It's actually one of the best painted NECA figures I have and one of the few that didn't require some slight tweaking to the paint.

I don't believe it either. For instance, my buddy would love to have a NECA 18" P1 but he can't find them in the stores anymore (he's not an online shopper). I am thinking that the moment he finds a 18" Predator at the store, he'll not give any care to whether or not the netting is exactly perfect.
