Just fyi, it's not "Borg", It's "Boar". Borg is the green one with the cyborgish armor...he's not out yet.

And I am just amazed, not surprised, but amazed at the severe cases of stupidity and lazyness that teenagers (or anyone who works at ToysRus) have today.

It's just, painful to read things like this. How can you restrain yourself from going down there and bashing her head into a wall? I don't think I could control myself...and I wouldn't want to.

Whatever job, no matter how minute..you need to do your homework. If I worked at ToysRus and I knew customers would be calling me asking me about specific items that the store sells, I would have the right answers. I would have learned everything about the store, everyhing it sells, what's in stock, etc..

I don't understand how these people can live with themselves. We can just hope they have very painful deaths.

Ok, I have to apologize in advance for the rant...

Not to defend lazy _______s, but there is probably about a 60% chance if you go into a TRU right now that you are going to interact with a seasonal worker who won't have a job in a week or 2. I've seen it first hand, they just don't care and really have no good reason to.

I can also tell you it's totally not worth it for TRU employees to know about anything even vaguely cool. Most people just want the same stupid stuff and of the tons of toys at the store, anything NECA is at the very bottom of the totem pole.

I know it's a pain in the ass when you are looking for someone and you're not getting help, I had a similar issue with the first NECA Predators wave, but seriously? Hope they have painful deaths? If that's what you wish on people who mildly inconvenience you, I would hate to see what you'd do to someone who actually harmed you.

Months ago I bought a NECA Predator hound at TRU. The cashier went on and on about how it made her ill to look at it and how people must be sick in the head to buy it for their kids. I have not been back.

So on the fence with NECA products now. Should I save my NECA money and apply to Hot Toys (89 Batman & Joker). Or continue to purchase NECA products strictly to own and add to my MOC collection. I will never open and display (I reserve that space for Hot Toys).

If MOC is your thing, Id say save up for HT. But honestly look at it in this way thaet even in terms of future investments NECA products will never fetch you prices a HT would EVER...

At this point even HT won't reap you the benefits it once did.

I say enjoy what you buy. All this investment talk go buy gold. A friend of mine who has seen my collection ended up buying Blitzway's Scarface. He likes the license but ultimately bought it in hopes of getting some returns. I let him know that everything I buy is bought out of love for the property. Have some of them increased in value? Sure. But even if they didn't that wasn't the reason for buying them. I love KISS, but just like most cars that ____ devalues as you drive it off the lot. Doesn't mean I don't love my KISS crap.

Didn't you already post this?

i've a got few ht predators and i still love the neca predators. i just picked up the 2pack and it's great.

get a little bit of both, i say. ht preds stay in a display case. neca preds are good for the desk at home or work. they're loads of fun.

You'll probably more easily find Neca figures available at retail or close to retail price further down the line. Not necessarily so with the HT 89 Batman and Joker.

My opportunity to arrive at a decision has not happened. Still waiting for Predator 2 figures to arrive at a store to tempt me (have not seen them in person).
So here I sit....still on the fence.:wink1:

Just go with what you like at the moment Bo Shrek. HT & NECA are satisfying in their own unique ways, and what you get out of it depends on your collecting mood. I'm in the "do a little of both" camp myself.

Sometimes you need to drop collecting something, or at least take a break from it before you can really know how much you like it. Though the new Pred wave might be a tough one to pass up. Aside from P2's head paint, they are really nice!

My 2 cents:

When I was younger I would buy 2 of everything. One to keep packaged and one to open. Life was good. I learned to customize and I learned how to make mcfarlane "statues" into real "action figures" with articulation, and it was fun. Then I tried to sell some packaged pieces and lost money. After doing this over and over I walked away from collecting all together.

This year I fell in love with Neca's Predators and I thought here we go again! But this time I am a little wiser and now I only buy one of each piece and open them. I tear them open, and play the night away!

Then I discovered the curse of the crappy joints! So I started customizing again and I can fix the joints with little effort. But the angle crotch cuts bugged me silly so after some thought I discovered I can give them crotch ball joints thanks to some UFC fighters.

Anyway, my point is I now buy to enjoy! I don't buy to collect! I rather pin a twenty dollar bill to the wall then a figure. At least I get my money back when I'm tired of looking at it!

Thanks,
James
