Lastly, a Predator in 1/6 is more like 14" than 12".

NECA's making 7" Predators from PREDATORS and has a 7" P2 Elder and 7" Predator 1 in the works, that's all we know to expect, and we have the 12" prototypes for P1 and P2 Elder to admire for now.

Toy Quality, maybe you have seen the wrong 18" figures, most of 1/4 figures are great !

On the Photo it looks like 1:1 !
but here we have the correct size:

I have nothing against 12" figures, but for me personally its too small.

If NECA was making 18" figs (which I would like to see done), I just hope they'd apply it to more than one Predator.
We already have plenty of large P1's, so it'd be nice to have a large Elder. Plus I never really liked the color on HT's... the version NECA has done is more unique.

@MaulFan: My apologies, I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with NECA nor did I say it sucks, as it's the brand I most frequently collect (especially this year, whatwith the Predators they'll make).

No worries, I'm not singling out, it's just a general trend that is taking shape here, it happened in the HT T-800 thread.

Lately, collectible "discussions" are turning into contests over whose ____'s bigger basically. No intelligent conversation, just people trying to shove their view down other people's throats or belittle other people's opinions because they don't agree and enough is enough, it's volatile and people at this site are capable of being more respectful to each other than that.

Man, that cinemaquette is nice... I'm actually surprised that they didn't add more paint detail, especially on the mandibles. Either way, it's a fantastic piece -- with no way to get it .

Out of curiousity, has anyone heard from Tankman as to why the sculpt shown on the Elder isn't the final thing? And has he done the final yet?

Well Toy Fair is primarily a show for people in the industry, not so much for consumers. It's basically a show for companies to go and say to the press and places that'll be selling their products, here's what we're planning for the year. I would imagine NECA would have shown off PREDATORS figures, but because FOX is likely keeping the reveal of their designs from being too public before the film, they couldn't show those so we get the P1 and Elder as far along as they are.

as far as i remember, about half hundred pages ago he said that his boss didn't let him finish his P1-based grayback and make the differences properly, so they have to stick with that hybrid.
maybe i'm not correct. but checking means too much to list back.
