Im of the opinion that id rather it look nice then be functional.. even the actual movie suits had to have the pred faces missing in order to work, and really do you have to sit there and be able to pop it on and off to enjoy it?

YES! .... that's how much I LOVE removable helmets

I'm just saying, it would get me interested in the series again, I've collected a few predators but nothing would make me go crazy over them more than removable masks.

I know the original costume didn't have removable helmet but I still firmly believe there is a way to make it both pretty and functional.

the only way ive seen done is by HT having the mandibles be removable and the mask having a permanently attached chin... which to me sucks

To my knowledge HT has made removable bio helmets without the need to remove the mandibles.

yes in the past, and the head size and detail suffered... if youre willing to sacrifice accuracy and proportion then of course it can be done

or the widened blades that fit over Dutches neck if they want to do another movie goof, like they did with Dutch's vests.

I think it's possible without sacrificing accuracy.

I've seen a couple amateur customizers doing it, why can't the pros?

These are a good example, it does look a bit off taking into consideration that it was done by an amateur, but Neca should be able to do it just fine IMO.

I guess its passable, but id have to examine those figs in hand. ill stick with what neca is doing now

I wasn't planning on getting the final battle 2-pack, but after seeing it comes with the seperate helmet, I gotta have it. NECA, you are gonna bankrupt me...
