NECA: Predator Movie Franchise Figures

eBay introduced the "Global Shipping" about 2 years back. It was added by default to EVERY eBay sellers account (US & UK anyways). Sellers have to go back in and REMOVE it manually.

Buyers hate it (a google search brings up all sorts of nasties) and (like many others) I refuse to buy from any seller that won't drop it and go back to regular shipping.

eBay introduced it because they get a kickback from Pitney Bowes (the intermediate carrier) - and guess who pays for the extra shipping charges + import duties along with eBay's kickback?

Yeah, I'll order stuff from overseas sometimes and I'll want multiple things from the same seller. But with the added up shipping, the shipping sometimes out-prices the cost of the items, or almost always matches it.

... unfortunately, GSP is the only way I could get stuff from sellers (like NECA) who don't want to deal with worldwide shipping, specially to countries like mine. Haven't tried it yet because I don't trust local customs not charging me import taxes AGAIN when my stuff is here

They should give the "Jungle Encounter" Dutch gloves and body paint that matches the head's color, imo. It's the only Dutch figure I didn't buy.

What the....I managed not to notice that he wears the gloves in the ''cheese'' scene



but they're gone for the ''Get to the choppa'' scene not long after that

He had them before the "cheese"scene when he and the team were building the Predator trap. It's no big deal, but it bothered me enough not to buy the figure. I guess if you have multiple extraction Dutch figures you can switch the hands.

Well, assuming the rereleases don't provide swappable extra hands, I'm gonna have to go and do that.


On the creature front, I really wish I had more BD City Hunters. Looked him up and (re)discovered that he was released in a 2-pack with a ''BD'' Jungle Hunter Predator - I had completely forgotten that. A BD City Hunter did not get a single-carded/clamshell release. Anyway nothing came up in my ebay search for him. Since I'm going nuts with the Ultimate City Hunter with various masked display options I'd also like to display a few unmasked variants - since I prefer movie accuracy they'd all have to the bleeding gunshot wounds.

The rest of the P1 special forces team is so commonly requested on their twitter page. Such a damn shame they can't be made, they would look so ****ing cool. Usually it's both a likeness rights issue and the company being risk-averse about making it in the first place. With the P1 team one of those barriers isn't there, NECA absolutely seems to want to make them, but alas no one is co-operating.

The rest of the P1 special forces team is so commonly requested on their twitter page. Such a damn shame they can't be made, they would look so ****ing cool. Usually it's both a likeness rights issue and the company being risk-averse about making it in the first place. With the P1 team one of those barriers isn't there, NECA absolutely seems to want to make them, but alas no one is co-operating.

Maybe eventually, NECA could release the entire team with generic heads, and the community could set up a crowdfunder to privately commission another sculptor to do the heads seperately

Weirdly enough the crappiest of the original Kenner Predators have been the most cool looking of the NECA remakes IMO - Clan Leader and I also liked the look of the Lava Planet Predator.

I wasn't planning on getting any Kenner homage figures but after seeing the Clan Leader gallery, I'll definitely grab this one. I think it's absolutely amazing. Just picture this guy sitting on his throne!
