What happened to series 2? Did these get canceled?

I was wondering the same thing, it just seems like there are so many unsold series 1 figs around, so I also thought Neca decided to cut their loses and just cancel the series, but I just saw series II on ebay, three out of the four figs look great, but the undamaged Rocky IV looks just as bad as the undamaged Rocky I. I wonder why Neca can't get the undamaged Stallone likeness right?

It first said May,then June, maybe even July when we get there. That's never a good sign.

You just ruined it for me, for a split second I thought these were the final production releases:mad::(:thud::gah::horror.

Aw.... really? I thought i saw pictures of them next to the Prometheus prototypes and were a whole scale smaller. Maybe eyes saw what it wanted to see.

Generally, Neca brings out fine products for the scale. The mass factory paint sometimes depended on which factory they used. Generally for me, just have to pick for the ones with well painted eyes. Figures with painted stubble and beards usually go terrible.

I remember back in the day, their Pirates of the Carribean line was phenomenal. Yesterday i just purchased Evil Dead 2: Series 2 Hero Ash and Henrietta. I was forced to get her, since no stores in HK were selling Ash sepeartely. However, I was more impressed with her then Ash.

Not impressed with Rocky series 1, but that display with the punched out Rocky with Drago looks sooo good. Too good to pass up. Hopefully that Rocky comes with a stand or sth... even Clubber looks great.

Im pretty sure those are 7-inch. Aren't they using the jakks boxing ring?

You can just tell by the paint work, they're the 2 ups, NECA production paint isn't close to that nice. Also, the Prometheus 2 ups are nearby, you can't see the Rocky guys next to them in shots but you see the ring and they're in the same scale.

That looks awesome!

And if the license is out there you know damn well HT is likely to pick it up. This is nothing but good news for those of us who having been begging for Rocky figures!!!!

Street clothes Rocky

Oh, awesome really, the figures of NECA ROCKY & Apollo are looking so cool. Looks like a boxing champion, very nice dude. No one can do this kind of job here as I think.

Sorry but that Rocky and Apollo were 1/6 prototypes, the ones that were released were six inches and you need a really good pair of glasses to pick up any detail, most of the detail was lost when Neca reduced them in size.

No you dont need a good pair of glasses, all you need is realistic expectation of a $16/17 figure. For their size and price they were head and shoulders ahead of any previous Rocky figures. The Jakks releases dont hold a candle to them in terms of sculpt, paint or realism...

Yeah i agree. For that price who cares really?Neca's are way better than Jakks, and this is coming from a big fan of the Jakks figures, those were the reason i started collect figures.
