NECA signs on with Valve!!

That's the beauty of NECA figures. They knock on screen characters out of the park, no matter how plain or dull the costume is. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Granted, the neck area on Freeman's HEV suit isn't the most game accurate, but other than the area around the neck, the suit is perfect. Their 'plain clothes' sculpts are amazing. From the Terminators, to the Evil Dead 2 Ashes, to Jason Voorhees. Jason and Ash could not have worn outfits any simpler on screen, yet NECA captured every stitch of fabric in those simple costumes. Just my $0.02..

The word you're looking for is "opinion". The Pro figures have far less detail and paint apps than even the recent Rocky 4 or Evil Dead 2figures. So, I'm not sure what you're looking at.

Seems NECA is putting out a Blue Varient Claptrap as well as the TF2 Pyro and Demo, all of which just went up for PO (as far as I know-new to me anyways)

Red Metal, the Prometheus Engineers were made for the fans of the character. Obviously you're not a fan of the movie. That's fine, they're not for everyone, But have you seen them in person? So much detail in the sculpts. As for Freeman, I'll be picking him up finally at Amok Time tomorrow afternoon.

Neca's Prometheus Engineers are not that accurate but they are detailed as hell. their TF2 line is going to get expensive buying 1 for display 1 MOC x2 if they release them in blue.

I dont have much faith in the left 4 dead line, just don't see it being popular enough.

I've already mentioned that I've seen them in person. And I've already mentioned that I've not seen the movie - so of course, I'm not a fan.

Compared to the Assassin's Creed, Rocky, Evil Dead 2, hell even Robocop, the Prometheus figures look pretty bad.

Now, back on the Valve topic, I am interested in those TF figures and the variant Claptrap. I have to wonder if the Claptrap will be an online exclusive or if we'll see them in TRU, as well.

Scratch the plans of heading to Amok Time today. Called them up just before I headed out, out of stock. If its one thing that really grinds my gears, its listing an item in stock online and not actually having it in stock. You want me to give you my money, but you're just going to email me with a 'back order notice'. Can't stand it. Good thing I called before I wasted 13$ in tolls and 20$ in gas.

Only thing I don't like are his stubby arms. If they were longer he'd probably have more elbow room to get a good gravity gun holding pose.

Reminds me of all that arm articulation on the Gears 3 figures yet they can't hold their guns properly two handed. Only Anya has good range.

The guns. NECA is working on Portal 2 figures, but they're taking their sweet time with it... we've seen one WIP pic and that's it.

Yes I meant the guns, but the sale is over now. so they'll cost $199.99 plus taxes. Only threeA toys has shown some in progress pics of their atlas and p-body figures. Neca only had a cardboard stand in when they announced it at some con.

Funny thing is 401 games had them listed at $349.99 they recently knocked it down to $199.99. they must have realized the only ones selling for that price on evil bay was the original and exclusive version of p-body with signed lithograph. Neca really shot themselves in the foot by announcing the new custom gun for even less money. they should have waited for their customer's to get board of their current products first.

Exactly, NECA did flood the market with these guns. It might have evn been better to hold off the 3-in-1 model till Portal 3. That game (assuming it gets made, which is a good bet) will be huge and NECA could have those guns ready for the launch, since the design work has already been done.

neca will release a portal 2 portal gun down the road that has a potatoe attachment and later make a weathered version.
