I think the only reason I enjoyed Daredevil much more was the action. And because Murdock was actually shown as a badass, but any of the scenes as him as a kid with Sticks ruined it.

Jessica Jones was just a psychological **** up, that it lived it up. I honestly have to say Kilgrave was a much better villain than Kingpin, and I'm sure many will disagree. It shows the extent of how brutal he is.

@Scareb, but they mentioned how she isn't indestructible. She might have powers and all that, but doesn't mean she's oblivious to damage. What got me to consider it was when
Luke got shot in the head with the shotgun. The force and moment would still have cause brain damage. What didn't make sense to me with Luke is, does he feel pain? His skin might keep him in tact, but does he not feel any pain? I also liked how he had stretch marks, some great skin you got there, Luke. :lol

I guess it's one of those things you have to write off as a comic book thing.

I thought that would have been a great way to end the series with the final scene as Matt being her lawyer ...still enjoyed it . David Tennant was simply amazing

Finally finished this show. I wasn't too impressed. JJ character was annoying as hell, partly because I can't stand Kristen Ritter. Also, her powers were all of the place; sometime she can stop a car and other times she gets knocked out by mere humans. Liked Killgrave and Luke Cage though; def. the highlight of the show for me.

If I came away with one major criticism, it was the inconsistency in her powers. The way they initially present it, she's super strong, but not particularly durable. So, if a normal human would get knocked out by something, the same should happen to her. But then she has a fight with Cage where she's getting tossed around like Zod in the end of Man of Steel, and just keeps on coming. I'm also not sure if Cage is supposed to have super strength? You would assume so based on the way, again, he tosses Jones around. But in the bar fight he only seems to be a guy who works out a lot, who also happens to have unbreakable skin.

I think there's that scene where he punches the bus and it dents like crazy. Theres another scene where he lifts something really heavy with ease...i forgot precisely what it was. But yeah, I do believe he has super strength as well

I thought the show was very good, but the finale seemed like an afterthought. Daredevil should have been there and Jessica should have either learned to fly or acquired a costume.

The "fight" against Kilgrave at the end was very underwhelming. There was no twist, no catch, nothing interesting happened. He mind controls a bunch of guys to beat each other up. Omg so scary. Jessica pretends to be under his control. Omg so shocking. He actually believes her. Omg so...stupid.

But in the bar fight he only seems to be a guy who works out a lot, who also happens to have unbreakable skin.
He lifts the first guy over his head like it's nothing, knocks a guy unconscious with a slap, sends a guy flying behind him with one hand...that's not "normal guy who works out a lot" kind of strength.

I just rewatched it, and I still don't feel it's showing him to be all that "super powered." He throws guys off like a pro wrestler who gets ganged up at first, does some Bruce Lee type Judo throws, and a few punches. They don't even knock guys out, as they all stagger out at the end. These are more like Steven Segal or Bruce Lee than anything else.

I would agree, a superpowered guy would have knocked those fewls out. Unless he was holding back only to unleash it all on a girl.

Is this the Iron Fist or Power Man?

The one consistent thing was that Jessica Jones's ***** can take a pounding......

Meant to post this yesterday but the show just got renewed for Season 2!

I assume that this season will go into MGH and will bring Nuke back. I also wonder if this could also possibly (hopefully) have Jess working at the Daily Bugle like she did in The Pulse which was basically the sequel to Alias anyways. I know that Ben Urich was supposed to be at the Daily Bugle in the first season of Daredevil but they didn't get the rights back in time for him to work there so maybe, just maybe they can use it now.

Nice. I'm glad this show got another season, I enjoyed it as much as (if not more than) Daredevil.

I wouldn't be surprised if this season had more Luke in it though and it could delve into their relationship more before the Defenders rolls outs (in which they could already be married or whatnot), and they could forego a Luke Cage season 2 to focus on Iron Fist, Punisher, Elektra, etc.

I really enjoyed this show and put it above Daredevil. I find Matt such preachy character in Daredevil that it was a nice change of pace to have someone like Jessica. Overall the cast is better - loved Carrie-Anne Moss in this, a real grey area character. Loved that the villain was a powered person unlike the other show villains as well.

So far for me it's JJ > DD> LC and I'm just starting IF now.

It was pretty good for 9 episodes. Then went to ****.
Last 4 episodes were damn tedious and the finale felt rushed and anticlimactic.
Simpson's side story felt underdeveloped and abruptly ended.
Also lots and lots of missed opportunities:
1. Why not make Trish the one to defeat Simpson? It was a perfect moment for her rage and heroic nature to shine...
2. Why not make Kilgrave actually purple for a few episode at the end? There was a build up for that... yet nothing.
3. Why do the whole Luke vs Jessica + setup for Luke's series so late? It messed with the narrative a lot.
4. Why no Daredevil cameo?

etc
