2 eps in and it's fantastic. When a show entertains you this much from the first couple of episodes you just know the whole thing is going to be great.

Finally watched the first episode of this. Not my cup of tea. Tried WAY too hard to be "sleazy", IMO. Very light on plot. Felt like some late night Cinemax joint (with better acting at least.) With Daredevil I was blowing through three episodes a night, only turning it off because it was some ungodly hour in the morning.

With this new show I feel like I've seen enough.

Finished the show, loved the first 3 episodes and then the quality dipped a bit. Overall I enjoyed it though, I'd probably give it a 7/10 and I'm definitely interested in a second season. Kristen Ritter was hit and miss for me, sometimes I thought she was perfect and sometimes I felt she might have been miscast. Daredevil was much better in my opinion and I found that show to be pretty flawed as well. Season 2 I think will be incredible though.

I'm three episodes in and im struggling to continue . Hope it gets better because Daredevil got better as it went along

The comparisons to Daredevil make sense since they're both Netflix Marvel shows but at the same time it's not fair to compare them. They're very different characters in a very different story. I finished this today and enjoyed it. Bring on Luke Cage, Punisher, and season 2 of Daredevil. Are there any other shows planned for the future?

Iron fist and the Defenders are in the works as well.

I've got two episodes left and I freaking love this series. It's so unpredictable and in most cases simply brutal. It kind of has a David Fincher feel to it with all it's grim, dirt, and how dark it is. I really do have a hard time stopping the show, it's great.

You're gonna call it quits after one ep? That's a mistake IMO...it gets really good as it progresses...

At least get to the point where Kilgrave shows up. Which is episode 4 I think. After that it gets pretty damn good.

Ok, I've finished it, and here's my good/bad/ugly:

Still not quite a fan of Jessica. I don't know anything about the comics, but she just seems like a goth kid who never grew up. Her morbidity is a little offputting. I don't know how else she should be - heck, if I was being mind-raped for years, I'd be pretty bitter. I guess she's just a little more one-dimensional than I would've liked - look at Patsy or Luke, or even Malcolm. They've been through hell, and they still have layers to their personalities. I guess I'll pass judgement on her when I see her NOT dealing with Kilgrave.

- After reading about her back-story, I really enjoyed what they did with Trish/Patsy and making her backstory work in the MCU reality. Well done.

- Overall, the story flowed a lot better episode-to-episode than Daredevil did. I tend to give a little bit of leeway on this topic, just because we're bingewatching, and that's not normally how TV works with week-to-week stories (though the writers should know we're going to binge-watch, of course). I do think that it could have used a little tightening and that it was padded a bit, but that padding brought us some great backstory on Jessica, Trish, and Kilgrave, so it's ok. The big "plot point we didn't need" was Simpson/Nuke, and looking through this thread, it seems like most people agree on that one.

- Still really loved Luke, and am definitely looking forward to his series.

- It was really brutal...but that brutality served to drive home just how sick Kilgrave is, and constantly banging that point home kept the pressure on Jessica, so I'm ok with it.

All in all, I liked Daredevil better because I just liked his character better...he seemed more fleshed out, less one-dimensional. And despite really liking Kilgrave as a bad guy in the end, Fisk is more interesting because he's just - at least somewhat - relatable, in some ways, anyway.

I guess I could see myself giving it another chance at some point but if I go through any more episodes I'll probably just do one here or there over several months when I don't really have anything else that I'm watching.

I agree with about 90 -95% of the review. Well done.......

I can't decide if
I like what they did with Jessicas powers. I mean I barely know anything about the character but I know she has super strength, durability and limited flight. For her strength it seems like all she can do is break stuff and lift the back end of a car but in the comics she can full on lift them. Durability wise she was cut by an average Joe with a knife and knocked out by the psycho with a piece of wood so in that regard it's a fail. And flight wise, we don't even know if she flew or just jumped into the neighbors backyard. Half the time it didn't even feel like I was watching a person with powers but just some average Jane running around.

Even luke cage who is super strong. We barely see him do anything with it.
