And where did you get yours from?

Very cool! :goodpost:

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I'm thinking what's happening with the dye bleeding on the chin is that since the head comes wrapped in a little plastic sleeve condensation is building up from being in a humid climate or warehouse. Either that or the figures got very cold and then warmed back up and condensation built up and the dampness caused the dye to bleed. I think either of those scenarios is quite possible.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Dye transfer is a fairly common issue in 1/6. If this were a Hot Toys product thread, people would already be crying about it being poor QC.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Whenever you have softer porus vinyl/rubber and strong dye colors llike red and black, you'll almost certainly get staining. I'm sure if anyone leaves the chin in contact with the tie for an extended period it's gonna absorb that dye.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Please let us know if you are able to remove the dye. I thought about using a magic eraser. The figure rocks otherwise. One of my favorite purchases that I had done in a while. I would definitely encourage Who fans to jump on board. It could be a great ride.

I just opened my 11th Doctor and.....he's breathtaking!!!! I'm beyong pleased. Big Chief pulled off a wonderful product. I know I've been critical about the constant delays and what not, but if waiting longer gets me an Amy that compares in quality and awesomeness as the Doctor then I'll happily wait.

I just looked at him again and it's like I have a minature Matt Smith in my room. The likeness is that good. :yess:

Sorry. Been über busy these past weeks on getting a program ready to go live. It all went well, but involved sorting out lil bugs and testing.

I was hoping to have the CAD version sorted out.

Right.

I'll aim to get drawings and sizes out.

I have created a more comprehensive set of photos.

How's this. Today I post the sizes for the preliminary requirements.

First off, you will need access to some wood. MDF, Hardwood (2 or 3mm) and 1mm thk pine sheet. The MDF should be 15mm thk.

I will prepare a graphic for the windows and signs.

Next up, I will supply accurate sizes for the base, the pillars and the three side panels. Also the first plate of the roof. These sizes and a breakaway drawing and photo later today. :wink1:

Any chance you could share the graphic for the interior, as well?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

They should have wrapped the entire head to keep the bow tie from coming in contact with his chin. Or just leave it off the figure and include it separate with his other accessories so the buyer can put it on and keep it out of contact with his head. It's quite simple to do once you have the figure out and you can yank his collar down a bit.

Nothing is perfect. I accept that and really don't mind. Heck, I think a lot of my Tonner dolls have body staining since I buy the HP characters and half of them have black robes or dark clothing. Stains where I can't see 'em? Couldn't care less. But red facial staining all over the chin of an almost $300 figure (I bought the signed edition)? Heck no. That's not okay with me. I'm really put out. Anxiously waiting a reply from BC.

OK.
Bear in mind I dont have any copyright on these, I just adjusted real stuff to suit the distortion that I wanted.

Putting a sketch together now.

Very well done review. Nice and comprehensive.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Another retailer here in the States has sold out of their 11th Doctors, this time it's WhoNA. He's selling really well over here. That bodes well for future figure releases.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Don't freak out, there's still plenty of opportunities to pick him up.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Thanks all, glad you liked the review! :)

A couple key shots:

We get to see the inside of 4th's hat:

The blue light of the stand in action:

That's why I love the expansion pack idea. It'd be cool to maybe have one other Matt for permanent display, but over the next however many years I am alive and have this figure it'd be cool to change him up from time to time. :)

I do like the long gray coat, even though we've not seen it in action yet.

With all this amazing releases a whovian feels very loved..though financially broken..
Ello all..I am new here..but I did want to say I that I think whats been showcased so far is brilliant. Since we all share our opinions I would love to make some small suggestions about future releases..

Maybe A end of time rassilon and a journeys end Davros..

A fully opening war dalek from the episode dalek

Using the same shell you could do the black version before he merged with a human. Just a new sculptrd dealek and accurate changes to the cockpit would all that should be needed..

Or possibly a small smirk to the 4th doctor's face would help..and a softer look in his eyes via highlight manipulation..

Oh..my daughter would love an oswin oswald..soooon! lol

Oh an emperor dalek at some point is my ultimate request..but one can dream..that would be too massive and costly to produce!

Anyhow thanks for posting images like these..not easy to get that on the web as clear as here..good job all :yess:
