Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

My 2 "Rememberance" sets arrived at an odd time ( around 5pm this evening ) and though I've not opened them yet they all look excellent esp the Special Weapons Dalek.

No doubt some overly ____ Dalek nut could find all kinds of things that CO have done "wrong" but for me they look fine. I just have to find somewhere to put the 5 I'm keeping as my shelves are virtually full.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

It's probably no consolation but their arrival has coincided with my being flat broke due to the bank deciding to take my monthly loan repayment a couple weeks early and for twice the amount I'd previously agreed.

I was intending to use the profits from selling my extras towards some more stuff for my forever in the making 1:6 Who figures but now I'll have to use it to cover some other bills

I reckon the SWD would look great in the same British Army green that the Ironside was painted in as the dome is very reminiscent of an old tin helmet like the ones from WW1.

Considering the potential for profit from my extra one however I shall leave that custom to someone else.

:lol

Stuff his offending appendage in boiling water - that could cure his 'problem'.

Though probably ought to point that that only works for Daleks - stick to the blue pills in 1:1 land!

So this must have been made fun of a thousand times, but in terms of colors, I get "supreme", I get "scientist", I get "drone", but what the hell kind of title is "eternal"? He sounds like he was named after a Bangles song. :rotfl

It could have been worse.........my sources tell me that had he done a fifth series RTD planned on renaming his Daleks after various members of the Village People.

Imagine a wave with such variants as Construction Worker, Native American Chief or Leather Guy..............the big moustache would have looked terrible :rotfl

The next Classic Dalek set is rumored to be based on "Resurrection of the Daleks" which is OK I suppose but I wish they'd stop messing around and do a "Genesis" set to debut a Classic Davros.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Nice pics Marc!

The current console room playset looks OK but a lack of space means I'll have to pass.

I have finally ordered an Amy Pond figure from FPI as I got fed up of trying to find one in a store and noticed FPI were getting some more in whilst ordering your white Dalek.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Does the playset have light features like the previous one? i would like to get one but im undecided whether to grab 11's or 10's before xmas.

I ordered from FPI the LED Torch version of 11's screwdriver, in the picture it looks both full size and metal a lot less toy looking. But it arrived in record FPI time (2 days after order) and its pretty terrible compared to its picture, its around 3 and a half inches in length and very plastic looking...not impressed at all.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

The playset has no electronic features. But I know of someone who is working up a tutorial on customizing it up with LEDs. (his looks pretty great).

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Thanks Pix, the best thing about christmas is getting other people to buy the things your not actually sure you want to buy yourself and like the TARDIS i'm sure i will end up taking it apart so i can add some LEDs i have lying around in work.
