Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I liked you Tom w/K-9 shot too which you posted on the other site.

I took that one last year and based it on a promo shot from "Full Circle". Hopefully CO will make a Season 18 version of Tom at some point so I can redo it.

Not my best pic but here's all the Doctors together,

I went to order the new Dalek 3-pack from FPI earlier today but it was sold out but I managed to order one from the other Forbidden Planet so that's another one off my wants list :)

UPDATE
The 4th Doctor set is now sold out at FPI as well.

Did you see Bernie's pic with the McGann Doc blurred? Do you think its the real thing or what?

Yeah I saw it earlier. I'm not sure how well connected he is with the people at CO or DWW but I wouldn't rule it out.

With the Pertwee sets out in October it'd be a nice end to the year if December brought us,

7th Doctor & Special Weapons Dalek 2-pack
8th Doctor ( single release )

Then 2010 could start with some new versions of Tom and some more baddies that aren't Daleks or Cybermen, I can't be the only one who'd buy a Myrka with a realistic "pantomime horse" action feature :lol

Are we ever going to see a John Pertwee figure?, i really liked him as the Doctor.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Awesome..I like the Death to the Daleks version of the Daleks.I may pick these two up.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I pre-ordered the set with the Sea Devil today and will be pre-ordering the other one in a couple of weeks.

The Pertwee sculpt doesn't look great in those pics but the pics from SDCC were more reassuring so I'm confident it'll be OK in person.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I just got an e-mail from a buddy who passed on some intresting info he'd found about the Classic line

The next full wave is currently thought to be,

Morbius Monster
decayed Master from "The Deadly Assassin"
Ice Warrior
Robot Mummy
Voc Robot ( green one)
Cyberman from "Earthshock"

The 11 Doctor box set will have unchanged versions of Doctors 5, 6, & 9 , new versions of 1, 2, 3 ,4, & 10 and debut figures of 7, 8 & 11.

I really hope the 2nd wave is legit as the Morbius Monster & decayed Master would be awesome additions to the lineup of figures from the 4th Doctor era and there's also some nice army builders.

I previously had no intrest in an 11 Doctor box set but if new versions of Doctors 2-4 are in it I'll inevitably bite the bullet as I can always resell the figures of 9, 10 & 11.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Its legit.... I'll say no more because I pissed someone off talking about it.

Here or at Outpost Who?

Great news about these figures anyway and I'm hoping the 4th Doctor in the box set is a "Deadly Assassin" version to go with the Master. Other options for the variants could be,

1st Doctor with cloak
2nd Doctor with new headsculpt ( the one from the proto ) and his fur coat
3rd Doctor in red or green jacket
4th Doctor ( season 18 or Sherlock Holmes attire from "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" )

I got my 4th Doctor adventure set today and it's excellent, the only minor issue was a bent eye stalk on the Suicide Dalek but I straightened it by dunking it in hot water and then in cold water and it's fine now.

The green Voc has an alternate hand with a corpse marker sculpted into it and a set of stickers with different serial numbers and the Mummy has a cylinder thing which fits inside the other jar and Tom has his extra head and sonic screwdriver.

Whilst I was picking up the package from the post office I missed another delivery at home which was either my Dalek set or Realtime Colin so I'll have some more stuff tomorrow! :banana

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I picked up the Colin regen figure today, even though I swore I wasn't going to. I don't know if it's a fluke, but the likeness seems better than the previous two figures to me.

I wasn't blown away by The Mummy at first, but it's grown on me:

It's not the most spectacular looking figure but I think it's very well done and I'd like to get a couple more when the single release comes out.

I've been looking at how well the different Classic eras have been represented in terms of bad guys and it breaks down like this,

1st Doctor = 3 figures
2nd Doctor = 3 figures ( 4 counting the rumored Ice Warrior )
3rd Doctor = 3 figures
4th Doctor = 10 figures ( 12 counting the rumored Master & Morbius Monster )
5th Doctor = ( The rumored "Earthshock" Cyberman would be the first )
6th Doctor = nothing yet
7th Doctor = nothing yet
8th Doctor = nothing yet

I'm pleased that Tom's era has gotten the most figures so far and hope that continues but I want to see more aliens from the other eras too and not just the cheap & easy options of Dalek & Cyberman variants.

The Sea Devil & Ice Warrior are steps in the right direction so I think there's a good chance that some others will appear in the future though I'm still a tad concerned about the lack of companions.
