New Hot Toys Predator2

i understand that hot toys are setting for a re-release of these iconic characters, but im confused. which predators are they going to relaunch in 1/6 and which ones are in 1/4th?

Not sure...I think right now there really is no fact. Even in the past when they released 1/6 figures, they sculpted in non 1/6 scale (unless I am just making that up, but I swear I saw that somewhere...or maybe was that Neca?? forgot).

I don't think they will make 1/4 and 1/6 scale figures that are exactly the same besides the scale. At first I thought they would release P1, P2, Scar, Wolf in 1/4, and very selectively re-release some at 1/6 (i.e. P2)...but I may be wrong, maybe they'll do everything again...

He was on the announcement poster so 99.9% yes I'd say.

I still don't think this release will take anything away from that awesome custom.

But if it does for any reason, you could always sell it on the Bay before the general public wises up to yesterday's news.
It is a kickass custom, though. HT will most-likely use the old shin guards and other armor parts that you actually tried customizing, so the two figures will be different.

A couple minor nitpicks here; the laser looks awfully small (a flaw shared with the original HT release), and I would have preferred fabric pouches on the belt instead of molded plastic ones - which ruin the realism a little bit.

The would make for a great post apocalyptic film. One man and his Predator figure. The Book of Eli springs to mind.

When I say "laser" I'm talking about his shoulder canon, not the targeting system or the little gun on his left gauntlet. You can see his shoulder canon poking out to the left of his helmet in the photo they shared, and it seems awfully small.

In Predator 2's case it was to get his arm chopped off and run away from Danny Glover.

To me it looks really great. Tsang is trying more and more to nail these guys. I think if anything the texture might be a little heavy and it turned out to heavy on our smaller figure. As a huge P2 fan I'm really pumped for this figure P1 and a new Wolf. The main thing Tsang needs to get better is the head sculpts. He gets most things really close but the head sculpts need to be improved and the good news is I see him looking at the movie and not the CM. As a fan I really think this news is great. I'd love to see us do bigger Predators but knowing these high end ones will be out there really does put a dampener on that idea. Sure they'll cost way more but Predators are just so cool it'll be worth it. I can't believe some fans don't think this is good news. The older HT Predators will be so outdated compared to these new figures. I hope they nail the Wolf because to me the old one was so very shinny and the new style should be awesome. I figure these will cost what like 400? I'm hoping Tsang will improve his lower P2 leg armor. The Shadow is nice but just a little off. What we see of the new P2 sure looks sweet.

To be honest, the sculpt of Predator from HT never goes accurate.
Have a look of the mask 0f P2...it went wrong already.
