This picture from Plastic Enemies seems to confirm the gossip about new Hot Toys figures at Anicom : Batman 89 DX, Metal Gear Solid, a Marvel figure, Bruce Lee and Samurai Predator.

Plus this:

An interview of Howard Chan seems to confirm that new figures will be show at Anicom : Batman DX (Batman 89), Metal Gear Solid, new Mark I, Samurai Predator and a Marvel figure (Redskull).

I can see peoples frustration with this but I, for one, can't complain . I joined too late in the game and missed out the release of the first one. Wouldn't hurt to have the original Mark I for less than $600 bucks.

Perfectly happy with my existing Mark I. I think it's very odd they doing another one.
Great for folks who missed out on the original.
Nothing will change the fact this new one is just that, ie. not the original.
Ain't gonna be all capitalist and complain about a new version.

That is IF the story turns out to be true. Text translation isn't getting confused with an IM1 licence being represented by the reveal of the Iron Monger?!

Yeah, I don't care if they make a new Mark I. Good for people that missed out. I got the first one at a really nice discounted price anyway.

I find it hard to believe that they will be able to top the existing Mark 1. Better head sculpt for sure but doesn't matter enough to me to warrant a new purchase.

not to mention now that hot toys has raised the prices they charge for everything it will prolly be around 500 anyway.

So would this be re-engineered at all? I honestly do not see the point in doing this unless it is just a re-release to try and get even more money off of people in time for Iron Monger. I would like to have a Mark 1 in my collection so I am not complaining, but there are certainly other things Hot Toys could have re-released.
