I honestly do not see the point in doing this unless it is just a re-release to try and get even more money off of people in time for Iron Monger.

i think yeah, if this were true (which is up for debate), of course they just want to make more money

the only this this would hurt is the aftermarket, which is inflated anyway. there are a few die-ahrd collectors who would want the original, but most would opt for the a re-release

it's pretty much exactly the same thing with the mark 2. if hot toys can make the money and at the same time please fans of these franchise who cannot pay the prices on eBay, then more power to them

and as for the rising prices these figures go for, i also can't blame the eBay folk who have these rarities, if people are willing to pay it then the same thing applies

they are collectibles after all

exactly johnny utah, the marines should get the re-do, not iron man, or at least wait awhile to do it. This is exactly what happened I bet.

'89 Keaton Batman is definitely coming soon, Metal Gear is all but shown and Red Skull seems like a given.

But Mark I, I definitely think someone mixed it up with Iron Monger.

Besides making it more bulkier (which I doubt), a new head sculpt, or even able to make the armor removable. I can not see what else they can do "better". As much as I would like to get my hands on a MK1 again and retail price, I do not think they will do another one.

Although I doubt we're actually getting a new Mark I, it would be cool if it could be disassembled, like the new Mark II AU version. Maybe a rack to hold the pieces or a cave Tony or something like that included.

Well, OC Bat got "nothing" to be improved on and they came up with the better remake.
I guess we'll see if they really coming up with a new mark 1 this coming weekend, and if they do have a new mark 1, I think it's only a matter of time we see them remaking mark 3.
