I've started downloading the update, but it is going very slow.
Good news for 3G owers!!
If you have a 3G, you can upgrade to the 3GS on Friday for $199 for the 16GB or $299 for the 32GB if are eligible for an upgrade date in July, August or September. So nice of AT&T.
If your date is after that, then you have to wait.
Dang I missed the standard prices I guess. Thats just crazy for a phone. I think for me for a while the 3g will be just fine.

... waits for Irish to defend the statement that its "just a phone" ...
It is more than just a phone. Its one of the coolest items I've owned. I just can't see myself if I didn't already have the 3g dropping $700 for this new version. I love my 3g and can't see myself giving up on having it or the next version anytime soon. These phones do so much its crazy honestly.
My grl has 16G 3G what is a good app for a GPS on it, I know that she downloaded something but it didn't really work well and so we scrapped that app. I would like to know what is the best GPS app out there for this phone?
Thats a good question!
What is the best GPS for this phone?

Getting the 32GB in White.
i'm digging the new satellite radio app, now i can listen at the gym so long as i have a cell signal. nice.
Pfft! I think it just looks a bit classier... and it reminds me more of the Silver backed Gen1 iPhone, which will always be golden to me.Neat....my wife and her friends got the white one too...they felt it was more feminine.
Any bugs will surely be firmware or software based, though. So far, none have been reported in any of the early reviews and there are apparently no major bugs with the OS 3.0 software.Even though I could get it early due to the new AT&T thing but I'm still going to wait through the summer.....let all the early bugs get worked out.
