Even though mine has several flaws, I still get that "wow" feeling when I look at it. I just love the size and pose of it.

And yet you still complain about it. I am confused, several flaws doesn't sound as severe as you are making it seem. Please, make up your mind. First you make it sound like it is horrible, now you make it sound like the flaws are small and don't detract from the overall figure. Perhaps I am misinterpreting you completing, or perhaps I am not and you can't figure out what you are feeling at the moment, I am not sure.

That does look great!
Why did it take long to finish? Size? Intricacy?
Anyway, congratulations, it looks fantastic!

The size does come into play. It took me about a total of 10hrs to paint. That's broken up through 2 weeks. You know work and life stuff.. Plus, I had to experiment first to get a feel for what I wanted. I am still a newb when it somes to painting.
The bulk of the work was rescultping, reshaping parts to my liking. Not to mention getting all the silicone out of all the ribs on that long tail. Then to get the tail to stay on was a pain. I used a rod plus a screw to hold it on. Then the extra little vertebrae is magnetized to cover the screw. I also used magnets to attach his head and arms. This way if I need to pack him up, I can take him apart like a Sideshow statue.

What? I complain because it's crap compared to what I thought I was getting.. Haven't we all gone over this like a hundred times?
It IS horrible, the size makes it look better, but that doesn't make up for the crappyness of it.

Sculpt and size good minus the deformed jaw area, and the pieces that don't fit (almost all, if not all).

Paint horrible compared to what I was expecting, sloppy around the metallic ring/tube-like parts, most of those parts weren't even fully painted. The tops of each of the rib-like things are not fully painted, or just painted a different color..but it doesn't look good. Idunno if he did that on purposes to try and give it that yellowy look or what, but it didn't work.
I can go on, but I already have several times..

Go get the Predator Cinemaquette, smear it with dog crap, beat it up a bit and you're still going to get that "Wow" feeling when seeing it.
The sculpt is awesome. The bigger it is, the more it appeals to you. Well, me atleast.

It's not worth anywhere near the price I paid, I just want my money back so I can pay for the Pred LSB when it comes out. And then pick up the Falconer Bio... Ha.

I'll always love you EP2. Don't forget it.

That my friend sounds like some great work! :hi5:

Perhaps the maker can take a leaf out of your book so that he can ship things out better :clap

Because I don't want a poorly painted, broken, deformed statue that I spent $700 on, laying around my house. Would you? Even if it gave you that "wow, this thing is big" feeling? Like, i'm not going to have a life-size, deformed, rainbow colored Predator statue just because the size makes me say "wow, cool".

To me, it's either a Wow piece, or it's a piece of shiznit piece, there is no in between

KAY, I'm obviously not like that then. It's big, your eyes say "cool", but I don't want it because overall, it's a piece of ____. Did you guys not read the rainbow Predator thing? I'm making complete sense here, it's like you just refuse to accept it.

Camera will be in my hands on either Monday, or Tuesday..

like I said, I enjoy repairing damaged pieces, I will take it off your hands if you don't want it

Personally I think poeidonyoung should make you show prove that you destroy the statue before giving you a full refund, similar to what Sideshow does for their return policy. The problem is, you shouldn't be able to enjoy any of that "wow" factor at all if you essentially paid $0 dollars for it after a full refund, and then plan to use that money to buy other pieces, and essentially getting a free 1:3 alien statue in the process... That's borderline scamming.

So confused. I guess i'm actually the horrible person in this situation. God, what have I done...

No, really though, thats not scamming ____. I see anything A/P related in front of me no matter how crappy, ESPECIALLY if it's over 2 feet tall, i'm going to get that "wow" feeling. All of you would too, and you'd be saying the exact same thing I am right now. Pictures will come, I don't lie, this thing is crap, and I want my cash back.

The main point is this:

I did not get what I ordered. It is not worth the money I spent on it, that took me several months to save up. And I want my full $745 back.

If you get the full $745 back and get to keep the so called "crappy" 1:3 alien statue, then yes, you are the horrible person and have successfully made a scam.

I'm just saying if poeidonyoung plans to give you a full refund and doesn't want to deal with the overseas return shipping, he should still make you show prove that you destroyed the statue first because after a full refund, you didn't pay for the 1:3 alien statue and shouldn't be allowed to keep it.

I agree, do what SSC does and show proof that you ____ed the statue up. That way you aren't getting something, no matter how ____ty it is, for nothing. If you want I will pay to have it shipped to me so I can ____ it up and film it.

Oh, thats what you meant by destroying it. I'd be happy too once I get my money back, not much else I could do to it that hasn't already been done though.

Oh, and no I wouldn't be scamming anyone. "Woot I got a free pile of crap that I can't upgrade in anyway because I HAVE NO PAINTING OR SCULPTING skills".................................................................

It's not a "Har har so called" crappy mess, It is just a crappy mess.
What reason have I gave you to not believe me?

Poe already said that he will refund the rest of your money only if you have someone repair it.
Like EP2 said, that will be like getting a $700 statue for $300.(give or take)
I can't see destroying the piece being worth while. Poe didn't make many of these in the first place. Destroying one of his pieces would be a shame.

I purchased one of the finished kits. Mines not bad. I'm a little disappointed with the size of the piece in relation to my Cinemaquette Alien, but I knew people were saying it was closer to 1:4 scale when I made the purchase. As far as the paint job, it's more than sufficient. Unfortunately I will probably sell it or trade it off due to the size. I wanted to see it for myself with my 1:3 scale stuff just to be certain. But i'm not getting rid of it due to quality concerns. The only problem I had was a slight chip to a corner of the base. It's very minor and can easily be fixed. Everything else was packaged up nicely to insure safe overseas delivery.
