Premium Format New Sideshow Spider-Man (Comic) PF

Mark I know you have been looking for a great Spidey... Well man this could EASILY be it, and at a price that isn't even close to the Com. This is a dynamic action sculpt by Martin Canale with a price, though higher than I would like, that is affordable for most. The Marvel ESs have all been fairly reasonable and other than the DC Trinity they have been all coming down. I will also say that you are assuming that XM will have a piece that rivals this. Now I am not saying they won't, but it is still an assumption given that this is a Canale sculpt, and your comment that "for a little more" doesnt make a lick of sense. By the time you have an XM Spidey imported you are looking at a price almost double this one, and unless you have a source already... Well good luck locking one down because all of the regular XM rivers are drying up slowly. That isn't a knock on XM either just a testament tithe insanity that comes with trying to get an XM piece if you aren't already established. Why not take a leap of faith m8. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Valid points Spidey, I do like it but am concerned about ES... lol you know how I am when it comes to ES. I am thinking of PO-ing but the numbers will help me to decide. I just dont like what I am seeing on ebay with all these pieces that go for under retail eventually. Then I might as well buy it on the bay but I do like the sculpt though the base flames could have been better.

Yeah, like Josh said, odds are you won't find this for retail after. I'm not saying it'll shoot up in value, because that probably won't be the case, but it won't drop either. If you're worried about ES then Sideshow probably isn't your best bet, as this will definitely hit 7500 or so, almost without question. I'd be shocked if it was lower...it's a huge character in an incredibly dynamic, classic Spidey pose/scenario.

Plus, why risk going through Ebay and getting ripped off, or ending up with a shoddy piece? Just order it through Sideshow, land the EX for retail and get replacement pieces without worry if anything ends up being wrong with it.

MOS and Catwoman were both selling under, i'm sure the trainwreck that was the Reeve PF will be joining them. But thats kinda my point besides two train wrecks and what I see as an anomaly if aftermarket concerns you, a SSC Ex generally isn't going to hurt your chances of getting a little profit back if you decide to sell.

Personally the more people who get to enjoy this statue the better. >.> I would rather have a conversion with someone who has the same statue and nerd together over how awesome it is. Rather then watch someone gnash teeth that they missed out on a statue I happen to have. I Joined this forum and started collecting statues to enjoy it with everyone rather then gloat about which 'rare' ones i happen to posses. The more the merrier I like to say.

Plus it won't hurt that Spidey will shoot up again in popularity (even though he's already one of the most recognizable superheroes around) after his appearance in Captain America: Civil War, as well as his next solo movie that follows.

There is actually a single koto Spidey on Ebay bid's at $350 Kotobukiya Fine ART THE Amazing Spider MAN Unleashed Statue 0987 1900 | eBay I'm surprised to even see one on sale you just can't find it anymore. If i had to choose between koto spidey and this new PF each at $500 I think I would go with the koto one, size be damned it's just that good.

Probably a generational thing. I would prefer smaller Romita Sr eyes as well, since that's the Spidey from my childhood, whereas I find the whole Scarlet Spider design eye rolling 90's stuff.

The 90's was an interesting time for pop culture. I have fond memories of my time collecting & reading from then. Scarlet Spider being one of them. Even if peeps might not have liked him (& the whole clone saga) much at the time. Hey, I even think Rob Liefield's art isn't that bad

Yup, getting replacement parts/statues is no longer a given.

I, and others, was told no full replacements as the item was sold out. It's still available to order today

I'm preordering this day one. Tbh I dont give a damn if they're going to make one billion of this. I dont care about ES, I'm on this hobby because I love movies, comics and books, not because I need to know how much this is gonna cost 3 years from now. Spiderman is my favorite superhero and I have nothing to represent him yet. This will be perfect. Amazing pose. The end.

If SS could please ****ing lower those bases about 6 inches, people could fit it, it would be cheaper, and isn't unnecessary. Thank you.

Exactly. I can't wait to get this in hand, and my only concern is leaning/snapping of the arm, but I'm sure they are working on it.
