Well given that the varient for this will most like black costume, the only other CLASSIC, costume for Spidey I think it is worth mentioning.

Yup, and I would prefer the costume over symbiote. Don't really need/want the "black goop".

I'm a bit torn on this one. I like the Spidey himself more than the Comiquette (the best existing 1/4 scale Spidey statue IMO), even though the eyes are still way bigger than I would like. But I don't care for the exploding base. Would really stick out with the other statues I have on display. Extra head seems kind of lame. And the price is pretty hard to justify. I haven't followed this very closely, so not sure about what variants are being proposed, but I would love to see a traditional symbiote Spidey in this scale.

I'm preordering this day one. Tbh I dont give a damn if they're going to make one billion of this. I dont care about ES, I'm on this hobby because I love movies, comics and books, not because I need to know how much this is gonna cost 3 years from now. Spiderman is my favorite superhero and I have nothing to represent him yet. This will be perfect. Amazing pose. The end.

It's PO day! Even though I'll be at work when it goes up...really excited to see this at SDCC! Pictures are always cool to see, and the apple gives some size reference...but when you actually see people standing beside it and see that size comparison in the videos...I'm not sure about everyone else, but that's always a fun moment for me when waiting on a piece!

I prefer it the way it is, but it's interesting how different all of our tastes can be.

Yeah, I'm sure in most cases they know what will have variants and have already begun work on them...whenever it's possible I think this'd be best. I'm not sure this will just be a simple repaint though.

They'd have to fill up the weblines on the classic suit to make a symbiote Spidey variant. After that, they can make a mixed media Scarlet Spider variant (please?) .....

Not me. I could have gotten XM Mags and I passed on that. I will 100% pass on an SSC Magneto unless it's like $350. See if it were still that baseline, I WOULD order more. See how that works?

I passed on XM Mags because I wasn't fully satisfied with it (wasn't into the head sculpt), then I read about at least a couple of custom sculpts, & wanted to run into a brick wall ....

That's true, I didn't even think of that. This could've had a really cool video preview for it too!

At the moment I have Machiko on deck to come in next, and I'm still waiting to see production pictures of her! I'm actually fairly surprised we haven't yet since she was supposed to ship in April and was pushed back due to the strike. But I'm really eager to get her, and then it'll be Spidey up next as far as Sideshow goes! Both have a chance to be really stellar pieces, so I'm pretty pumped.

I just love the chance they took with this Spidey and his pose. It's arguably one of the most dynamic pieces they've ever done! I'm fixing up my "office" and getting some shelving, so I'm still not quite sure where Spidey will end up in terms of placement, but he definitely seems like a piece that the eye will gravitate towards when walking into the room!
