I would have gotten him already but I’m already committed with the Prime 1 Venom. I may have both eventually. I missed the pre order on XM Venom, only reason I don’t have him currently. The after market prices were too high for my liking.

Every XM statue drops down significantly after the hype wears off. Magneto and Black Widow have been the only ones to really hold their values and stay there.

Depends in part on what you think the starting price was and/or where you live.

Really? again, depends on what you mean by retail and if you count shipping - in Singapore retail was about US$750. I feel like the lowest I've seen recently on ebay for the Samurai Bats has been around $1400, not counting recasts.

The rest you guys all mentioned, magneto, Black Widow, Ghost rider, Cable and venom are all the most expensive from XM in the after market

I just don't understand all the love for the XM Cable. I think it's a very underwhelming statue. Don't care for it at all. Waiting to see what sideshow can do with the character.

I'm a little surprised they haven't given the edition size yet, considering they have for all of the other wolverine statues. Granted those are from another company, but still.

Love Wolverine as well but I'm more of a set collector as opposed to singular pieces. The high price of Magneto (plus the weird spiky bits on the base) paired with no announcements for any other characters has me holding off on this line. It seems SS will drop this line quickly (like the tend to do) and move on to something else. For me, Wolverine and Magneto don't make for the greatest display on their own.

Heck, even if they do continue the line, who's to say that the rest of the statues won't follow Magneto's pricing rather than Wolverine's.

I don't like the portrait or his uniform. I see him in that uniform and he looks like farmer Joe to me. I'd much rather have a uniform like the ones used in the Bowen retro and modern Cable statues. I can appreciate that. I liked the Bowen one - that base was quite the sight too.

I'm hoping Sideshow gives a crack at this one. They'd be crazy not to at this point, especially with the upcoming movie. Easy cash grab, IMO - if they do it right.

Yea, I guess that's where I'm different. I'll collect a line, but I'll pick and choose the characters in that line based on how good the sculpt is for each character. I'll get the entire line only if each sculpt meets my expectations. But I'm not a completionist either. I'd be perfectly fine if I get only one statue in a particular line.

That's a difficult concept for me to adapt to, but I'm learning. Thankfully, Sideshow does a lot of "1, 2, 3 and done" which works to my benefit. It's just hard to me to not have everything completed, hence the completionist title.

But as you guys mentioned, not having Mags and Wolverine together wouldn't bother me. I think they work great as stand alones. I echo everything you all said.
