I just hope none of those women see this scene from Running Scared. The horror. The horror.

that is a disgusting picture...i can't see the bare cheeks of her ass.

damn you:confused:

Reading that live journal was like a refresher course on why I hate other women and rabidly hate feminists. They always manage to embarrass and offend me in one fell swoop. I guess I didn't get the memo because I never realized that being in the proximity of someone's laundry would be such a pivotal moment in my life and would turn me into a complete sap! This is art. It is one artist's interpretation of a comic strip. It's not a global narrative on the entire female population.

In the words of Mugatu - "I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!"

LOL! Careful now....your fellow men are going to accuse you of being p-whipped and you'll end up the subject of a very angry live journal! And then they'll threaten to cut off your "boys." :lol

Seriously, those women would go nuts if they saw that scene from Running Scared. She starts out doing the laundry and ends up in the kitchen cooking in her thong.

I am about as left-wing and liberal as they come, and I think this kerfuffle is utterly ridiculous.

I think it boils down to this: I don't think a depiction of a person doing an activity necessarily means that they EXCLUSIVELY are responsible for an activity in a household.

I believe that sexism is rampant in comic books, but I do not feel that this statue is necessarily representative of that sexism.

I also dig that I made the 69th response to this thread.

Hi guys! Wow, what a showing of support from the Freaks :) Just wanted to reinforce what Lonnie stated up there somewhere... TRY to be civil if you're going to write in/leave comments. No matter how silly you think this whole thing is, presenting yourself in a calm and respectful manner will garner the most (positive) attention. :duff

Running Scared? Never heard of it.....who is in it? :naughty

I hope SSC just solicits the next Comiquette right away and allow their collectors to happily move forward with this line.

This has just got so blown out of proportion that it's obscene. The fact that the Emma statue doesn't bother them is another thing that baffles me. The main complaint seems to be that MJ is doing Spidey's laundry. I'm just at a loss for words at how insane this is.

Consider it done. I just fired off my 2 cents to Marvel. I am nothing if not a respectful word-smither.

The only issue with this statue over all the other cheesecake/comicbook statues that have been released through the years is that there's a huge movie out right now.

They are trying to get attention and the only way to do that is to attack something that already has media value on it's own.

Astute analysis Dave. Heck, some of the cheesecake statues that come out offen me, but AH's work is definitely not amongst them.

It's a good thing the Emma statue wasn't of her washing Scott's X-Men outfit :monkey3

This is just pointless IMO. Some people are just so silly at times, as we can see with those bloggers. Anyways, it's free publicity for SS and AH!
