Yeah, I enter every contest I see, but I've never actually won anything like that before. Maybe someday, but not yet. Money is always really hard for me to come by; I've had to sell a number of things in the past just to pay rent or phone bills. I could never sell a PF though, it would be too priceless for me. I just can't get one on my own. But it's ok. Faramir is definitely prize enough for me, and who knows? Maybe someday I'll get lucky. Someday.

Wow--between Josh's Maul, Tom's Boba and my Faramir, Sideshow has really made a lot of dreams come true this year! I wonder what other Freaks are gonna get their wish this year.....

Feel that way about Jabba.

I know they are several films and about 30 years or so apart, but Maul will look really cool next to Boba Fett.

I agree on Jabba, he was my main man, but since the RAH Boba is a 3rd Quarter release and the PF is coming soon, I think I'm gonna have to just get the RAH and cancel the PF, got some things coming up where I'll need that money sadly, but they're hopeful thing so if they don't pan out I'll keep him. Even if Maul were to be the only PF I have, he'd display just fine with the 1:1 Bust and 1/6 Scale Figure from Sideshow, be a nice collection of SSC Maul memorabilia.

My first impression after seeing the pose is that all he's missing is a tophat.

One of the funniest quotes ever. I love the facial sculpt, but like you, I'm not feeling this pose...at all.

Gentle Giant's International Darth Maul remains my favorite Maul statue. I'm glad I own one because this PF does not impress me. Hate to say it but gotta call them as I see them.

Funny to me that Maul is the first character to get the total treatment from SS. Bust, 12", and PF. I would think it would have been someone from the OT. Vader perhaps

You were the first person I thought of when this news broke!!! Maybe one day your Maul and my Fett can hang out together.

And I think that they chose this pose carefully. An Obi-Wan PF could be behind him with Maul's saber deflecting his attack with minimal effort while he focuses his gaze on the Qui-Gon PF. I can see all three working together or on their own. (I hope I'm right.)

I agree that I think this pose will go with a possible Obi-Wan Ep1 and Qui-Gon PF. That would totally explain the totally creative pose which I am really am starting to like now that I think about what may come with him later.

Meh...was expecting more.

The side pic looks ok but I need more pics.

As of now, I dislike the pose. Too Koto/toyish.

When Toy Fair arrives I am sure there will be a LOT more/better pics.

Of course I have to get it too and check it out in person.

My reaction is the same. It looks way too toylike. I may get it to check out in person, though.

I know. That is one of the cooler things. If it's well made (which Maul looks like) and is awesome looking (which Maul looks) just make it. Spread it out a little but just make it baby!!

The arm pose that's been identified as a classic dance finish is derived from T'ai Chi Chuan....as is most of Darth Maul's movement. Maul uses the double light saber just like a kun.

Remember when everybody was saying the PF Obi's left foot was crooked? Also classic combat stance. Whenever you think you've caught Sideshow in a battle pose mistake, it usually means they've done their homework...and you haven't. They seem to be doing much more than just studying frame captures.

I'm sure the chess set is a unique item, but I hope the chess set is 1/6th and comes with a new, improved Solo.

But keep Luke's monkey arms so he can capture the opponent's "king" from anywhere on the board.

...however...the speculation here that part of the pose is a reaction pose with possible Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon PF figures, has me (gulp) reconsidering....and thinking about an addition on my house....

...can't wait to see some TF pics of this figure...
