He might be. Denver is probably hoping he will be like he was with the Jets a few years ago. Sanchez led them to two AFC title games with that good defense. He could do it again.... I just don't think he is the same player though

Pats have no DL now. Literally nothing. Jones for Cooper and a 2nd round. This must mean Chris Long is signing with the Pats now.
I don't like it.... but Bill knows what he is doing. The OL kept us out of the Super Bowl... but I am worried for our front defensive line now....

Hopefully Pats do sign Long for some depth. Use our picks for the OL/DL. Sheard, Branch, Nink, Brown need to step up after losing Hicks and Siliga. We also signed a DL from the Redskins.
Actually.... thinking about it more.... I think this might be a good deal now. Jones new contract would be huuuge. No way they would have kept him anyways. Losing him for one year to get a 2nd round and protection for Brady is great. Cooper's contract is also only one more year though.

It's a numbers game. After next season Jones, Collins and Hightower would have needed to be re-signed. The equation just got much easier while strengthening something that needed addressing.

Awesome. Welp, he is already one of my favorite Patriots now. Guy stood up for them and I am assuming he took less money to sign with us. I think he is going to have a great year. If he can get back to where he was a few years back.... he will be the steal of free agency.
