Great trade. Bennett will be a nice #2 behind Gronk and a nice insurance policy if Gronk goes down. Bennett should put up some good numbers with Brady throwing to him.

Pats have to be Super Bowl favorites once again.

QB - Brady. Just as good.
RB - Lewis will be back. James White and Donald Brown now.
OL - Cooper and Kline at Guard. Stork at Center. Vollmer and Solder at Tackle. Plus Pats get back their old O-Line coach.
WR - Edelman, Amendola, Hogan
TE - Gronk and Bennett

Only thing on offense I would like to see would be another receiver such as Boldin, Colston, or White come on for low money and a shot at a ring. Then sign another big back. Blount, Foster, Morris would all be great options.

LBs - Hightower, Collins, and Freeny are awesome.
DL - Nink, Long, Sheard on the edge with Brown and Branch on the inside.
DBs - Butler, Ryan, Chung, McCourty.

Would like some depth at LB. Those guys will be playing a good chunk of the snaps, but a lot of good options on the market right now that could be cheap and make an impact for the Pats. I don't trust Coleman as the nickel CB, would like to see someone different. As far as the DL goes.... Pats need some DTs and another pass rusher if those guys can't step up.

Hopefully the Pats address some more offensive needs through free agency and the defense in the draft.

The problem is, Chinese youths are more likely to get involved with basketball than football. I understand the NFL's mindset, but if they think that the NFL will get the market penetration that the NBA has, the NFL is fooling itself.

Having said that, even a fraction of what the NBA makes globally is some extra green.

Basketball truly is a global game...it would be one thing if American football were in the Olympics, but our brand of football will never be global like basketball and soccer/the original football.

Dallas signs Alfred Morris. I like this signing. Morris is a north/south runner in the vein of Demarco Murray, albeit not as explosive. But whatever they can do to keep pressure off of Tony Romo is great. Macfadden had a good year (1,000 yard season), but the Cowboys need a bruising back to wear down opposing defenses.

Football can't even touch the youth participation of say Baseball/Softball, Basketball, soccer but all of those combined barely touch the popularity of NFL in the US. So participation is far from a factor of popularity. Also the popularity of the NBA seemed to have a lot more to do with a certain player.

If our football was in the Olympics, it'd be worse than the Basketball scores

That would be fun to watch...but then you'd have certain countries that juice up their gymnasts juice up the football teams as well, LOL.

:goodpost: :exactly:

But the NFL has already played games in Mexico City, London, and Tokyo. China is the next logical destination.

It’s funny they pass the 2 Unsportsmanlike conduct ejection rule in reaction to the OBJ game but OBJ would not have been tossed in that game had this rule been in place... he was called for unnecessary roughness not unsportsmanlike conduct. Another FAIL NFL.

It's probably for Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones showing their ass on national television

I think Cleveland can take a BIG step forward if they pick up Wentz. Just got done watching his Pro Day. This kid can really spin the rock. He can make all the throws and has great size and athleticism.
