Lol to anyone who thinks the NFC is that much better. Put down the pipe. The best two teams right now in the NFL are Indy and SD by a good margin. I honnestly can't even tell you who the top team in the NFC is right now. Just about every one has Jeckel and Hyde syndrome you never know what your going to get. The two hottest NFC teams I would say are GB and Dallas.

Warner might be the best pure drop back pocket passer in NFL history but not one of the best QBs in history.
One of the best ever in the big game, though.

As for Colts, I don't dislike them really (Peyton is a New Orleans native), but I kind of want to see them lose just so I can here Peyton blame everyone else for his team's loss :lol

Oh, the irony of this major... At least he has something to fall back on if he doesn't get drafted to the NFL.

Great bowl game last night (slightly boring at points-- why weren't TCU running their usual "O" for most of the night?... deers in the headlights)-- hopefully another great one tonight (to flip to while the finals of the World Junior Hockey Championships are on--- USA vs. Canada... Canada going for their sixth straight title)...

Weekend playoff picks?

NY Jets
Philadelphia Eagles
Baltimore Ravens
Green Bay Packers

(I like the underdogs). :D

Warner might be the best pure drop back pocket passer in NFL history but not one of the best QBs in history.

His accuracy and reads are among the best I've ever seen. He doesn't need mobility because he can pick the right receiver really quickly. His arm is strong enough to get it anywhere he wants...which unfortunatetly does lead to 1 of his 2 major weaknesses, interceptions, which is he takes chances that maybe he shouldn't. Usually those interceptions come on deep routes which most QBs don't even attempt because their arms aren't as good (and the play calling doesn't allow the risk).

His other weakness is fumbling, but Warren Moon was a horrible fumbler too and I still rank him in the top QB classes.

So anyway, IMO Warner is in the top 5 or 6 QBs I've seen since the 80s and 90s. Montana, Manning, Elway, Marino, Brady and Warner.

I haven't been lurking in this thread much since I'm a 9er fan and, well, we suck.

Anyway, I was reading the posts above in regards to the Jets defaulting into the playoffs due to disinterest on the parts of the Colts and Bengals. It pisses me off that the 9ers went to Indy earlier in the season and played the Colts (the real Colts) in a tight game in which they barely lost only to now see the Jets then the Bills play a second string Colts team and get wins. I know there's nothing that can really be done about these kind of things but I do find it to be frustrating.... Hell, it wouldn't have made a difference this season at all for the 49ers, and to be honest I would rather beat Peyton Manning then Curtis Painter.... Oh well... I'm done complaining.
