i liked the NHL when it was a new novelty. I lived in San Jose when they first got the Sharks. Then I moved to Denver in 95 and the next year we got the Avalanche. It was a novelty, like buying a Chocotaco. But after a while you realise thats its sorta gimmicky and is pretty much impossible to watch on TV. So now I don't give a rats ass.

For me, baseball is about 50% of my interest in sports. 25% more on football, 15% on basketball and the rest spreadout on Olympics and other stuff.

As long as I have baseball I could probably live without all other sports if I had to.

Just read this in the local paper:

ERs Report Spike in Bandwagon-Jumping Injuries Following Saints Losses

Emergency rooms all over South Louisiana report a rash of leg, foot, and ankle injuries in the days immediately following consecutive losses by the New Orleans Saints.
Medical experts, as well as sports analysts, attribute the sudden increase in breaks and sprains to newly converted fans jumping off the NFL team’s bandwagon. They point to the timing of the injuries and the fact that the team gained a whole slew of new, enthusiastic, yet fickle, fans during its 13-0 start this season.

After two home losses, though, many of them couldn’t wait to disavow all loyalty to the team for which they had so fervently yelled “Who Dat!”

“When they come in, we ask how they hurt themselves,” said Dr. Jonah Miles, an ER physician at Northshore Regional Medical Center in Slidell. “They always say something like they tripped or stepped in a hole, but we suspect they hurt themselves jumping off the bandwagon.”

Miles says that many of the injured show signs of recently abandoned fandom.

“I’ve treated more than my share of broken legs and twisted ankles on guys with Jeremy Shockey hair and fleur de lis tattoos marked over with a Sharpie,” Miles said. “They’re just too embarrassed to admit they’re fair-weather tools.”

Basketball is a sport I have given up on.... I'm a Warriors fan, so what's the point? I watch Football, Baseball and Soccer.

I've never like the NBA but have always loved soccer especially during tournmant times.

C'mon Jedi, where you at? Tell him how it is!

Speaking of wrestling, Bret Hart was on Raw last night! I haven't watched wrestling in a coon's age, but I was awash with feelings of nostalgia last night.

There you go again asking where I went. I haven't gone anywhere...once again. I am still here. I am still a life-long, die-hard fan of the Saints. I always will be. Win or lose. I never was on the "band wagon", so I don't have to jump off of it. No leg or ankle injuries here. :D

Yeah, the Saints lost their last 3 games to opponents they should have beat. Dallas would have been the biggest challenge, and they should have beat the Cowboys. As far as Tampa Bay? Again the Saints SHOULD have won. The Saints knew that the Panthers would run the ball on them, and they did. The Saints MUST improve their run defense! They get to see who they'll play in two weeks now with their bye. It could be either the Eagles, Packers or Cardinals on Saturday, January 16 at 3:30pm central time (our time zone here). All three of those teams have explosive offenses, and strong defenses and special teams. The Saints best players HAVE to play their best game of the season. They didn't work so hard to win 13 games in a row to get into the playoffs to go "one and out".

There still is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Saints. But they MUST dig out of the tunnel as hard as they can. Because now they've once again become the "underdogs" in the playoffs when they really should have been the dominant team they showed they were earlier this season.

Don't get me wrong...I still have faith in my Saints! But they MUST use this two weeks to fully prepare for the playoffs, and it's "all hands on deck" and playing their BEST game to get the win they need to advance to the NFC Championship game, and then the Super Bowl.

GO SAINTS! BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES LIKE YOUR TRUE FANS BELIEVE IN YOU! GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!

Hmmmm....glad to make you happy.

I'm not going anywhere. :D

BTW...I LOVE your quote from Khan from Star Trek II! It's still my favorite Star Trek movie to this day. The new J.J. Abrams Star Trek is great, but I'm still a BIG fan of Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan!

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or, the one." I love that quote too! Such a classic movie. I recently got it on Blu-Ray...and the new Star Trek too.

Since we're making predictions, mine is that the Dolphins will pick (or trade for) a QB in the 2nd round of the draft this year.

You have a QB now. Give him some more playing time and he is going to be a good one IMO.

Yeah, the Dolphins QB looks decent. They played very well for the most part this season. The "wildcat" got old after a while, and later on some teams were able to shut it down. But I agree that QB Chad Henne has some skills, and could develop into a great QB someday. I'd stick with him and see what happens next season.

It's all in good fun bro! Actually, I didn't want to see you leave over just a football game. Besides, anyone who got to meet Jeri Ryan is a friend of mine.:D

BTW, can you imagine the **** storm I'm going to get when the Vikes lose in the playoffs?:lol

Khan was absolutely the best Trek movie ever. Do you know why? Because nothing can beat the "over the top acting" acting job done by Ricardo Montalban. He even out emotes Shatner in that movie.

Here are two more classic lines from Khan:

"He tasks me! He tasks me, and I shall have him! I'll chase him round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up!":rock

"No. No, you can't get away. From hell's heart, I stab at thee. For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.":rock
