God I wish they could land Peppers. That guy is such a beast on defense.

With a healthy LB core, Trent Cole at one end and Peppers at the other the 4-3 would look great and they'd definitely be able to pressure with only their front four (and maybe one other) allowing for even more turnovers in the secondary.

Of course it could turn out to be like when they signed the Freak and then there were only moments or greatness... Anyway it's the off-season. Conjecture and combines are the word of the day until the draft...

The LT to Atlanta rumors are interesting. I know I'd rather be hearing rumors reported of some defensive backs or linebackers or #2 recievers coming our way. Would be funny for LT to come in as Turners backup. What would be even funnier is that Turner would probably lose his job to LT again.

Yeah, I would. Trust me.

I haven't heard many players say that. Hell Brian Dawkins even posted a letter to fans and the city of Philly saying how much he will miss them. Hell even the fans gave him a standing O when he came out of the tunnel in a Denver uniform. Westbrook just released said he will also miss Philly. Being in your part of the country of course you are falling into the category of stereotyping all of Philly because that's just what people say. I assure you it isn't true. At least no more than any other place.

Greed is a powerful thing. I know they loved him and how he played. I'm just saying take Baseball for example. I'd much rather play in say St. Louis for less money with IMO better fans and more appreciative fans than say for the Phillies and all that you have to put up with there. I agree not all fans are like that and that every city has jerk fans. However, as a whole there have been far more nasty things shown about Philly fans and said by athletes who played for or played there to really make it a huge stretch.

Really!?!?! I never understood why they didn't use him more in lieu of LT. :dunno Maybe they are going to go for Westbrook.

A move like that tells me that they aren't serious about winning NOW. Trust me, remember I am a Bills fan; teams only have a certain window - the Chargers is closing FAST! :horror

I can't see what they are trying to do but they must be eyeing someone to go all out like this.

Damned if I understand the decision to drop both LT and Sproles. But the analysts have been saying for a couple years now that "the Chargers are one of the most talented teams in the league." I don't know how they measure that, but if true, I guess losing your two best running backs won't hurt too much. . .but it sure looks stupid on its surface.

Sproles isn't someone who can help carry a team from the RB position so letting him go isn't that big of a deal. They need a guy who can come in and carry the ball 20-30 times a game plus catch a few passes. They had that in LT but ran him into the ground really though I think he has something left in the tank.
