I do find it interesting that this is the second woman to come forward and make these kind of accusations towards big fat ass.
With these kinds of things, unfortunately, we can't know how true or untrue they are without hard evidence. Same with Michael Jackson, the public perception now of "Big Ben" is that he's a potential rapist or whatever because the preliminary accusations have been made, and compounded by additional accusations. And people know how much money he has. As such, it doesn't surprise me in the least that people are coming out of the woodwork making accusations. It could be true, but if she said he weighs 241 pounds, then I just have a hard time believing it.

Well it will play out in court. He went out and got the best lawyer money can buy. I don't think he did that with the first incident.

I think a huge chunk of athletes do really horrible things that they never get held responsible for. It's just the nature of these muscle-bound freaks who were the most popular kids in high school, college, and beyond, and as a result, have huge egos and a sense that they are above the rest of the world due to their being "better" than everybody else. Being at LSU, I've seen a LOT of that with our football players (though it is far worse at places like Tennessee and Florida), and we see it in the NFL and NBA all the time. If you figure a guy gets arrested for something, he's probably done it 10-20 times previously without getting arrested. So how many of these guys rape a woman who never reports it or never gets taken seriously? How many have been involved in drugs and other bad business that never comes out? Probably a lot.

I think the fact that a second woman is accusing him is an indicator that Ben is guilty of, as a bare minimum, stupidity. I read an article that looked at the situation from the view point of even if Ben did not do either of these things, he should have learned from the first incident and never put himself in the postion to chance it happening a second time. And I can agree with that.

I like Ben. I don't think he is generally stupid as some people do even though he does stupid things. But I think he is immature and he needs to evaluate that.

I am a believer that where there is smoke, there tends to be fire. But I also understand that sometimes the smoke is not smoke at all, but the dust cloud raised from the mining efforts of gold diggers.

I won't pretend to know which it is in this case. But I do have enough confidence in Ben's character to give him the b.o.t.d. until it is proved to be otherwise.

That's a BINGO! :lecture

You are a Super Bowl MVP with an outstanding civil case against you, and you are partying with 20 year-olds; at the least he's a dumbass.

:sick

what I heard is that basically Big Ben and his buddies closed down a section of the night club and sent out "recruiters" through the club to find women to send to the back room. i also heard that activity in that room was essentially unsupervised, as in no nightclub personnell or security were in that room except for Big Ben's own hired bodyguards.

According to sports radio this morning he was with 2 off-duty Georgia cops.

:dunno

OK. So now the NFL is about to vote to change the overtime rules so that the first team to score... A TOUCHDOWN...wins. But if the first team to score, scores a field goal, then the other team gets a chance. And if they score a touchdown...thwey win. But if they tie it up with a field goal...then the rest of overtime reverts to true sudden death. The next team to score any points wins.

Makes no sense to me, but hey...anything that will make football games longer is good with me.

They must've taken a hint from the Buffalo Wild Wings commercials. :lol. But in all seriousness, the new rule would be fair for both teams. Most of the time, games are decided on a coin flip on games going into overtime.

I don't see it that way. If the team that loses the flip has a lousy defense, they deserve to lose.

I like good defenses.:D

i like the idea of both teams touching the ball at least once. i don't understand why it needs to be that complex regarding tds vs field goals.

Since that rule is for post season only I like it. If it was for the whole season I don't think I would.

Sounds pretty stupid to me. You score a touchdown first, then you win anyway, and people will still be _____ing about it. I say, either give both teams an equal chance like they do in college, or leave it like it is.

You know what i think? I think each team gets ONE attempt. If both don't make it, it's a tie ____ it! (playoffs obviously are different, i'm still good with first team that scores)

(more ties would spice things up anyway)
