Still waiting on the current list of Eagles players that committed a crime "since" they have been on the team. Furthermore I'm looking for examples of how their organization promotes such behavior. :lecture

This is your quote:

I know the only point you are trying to get at is Vick. You are trying and you are failing. Judging by your own logic "He wasn't even in Pennsylvania" and the fact that he wasn't even a member of the team makes this null and void. Also the front office hardly enourages this behavior. Did the Eagles call Vick when he was in Atlanta and will him to start a dog fighting ring?

Seriously you argument is groundless, uneducated, and makes zero sense.

So again, I ask. What players have committed crimes to the magnitude of the recent Steelers players and how does their organization encourage this? You seemed to think you have knowledge of this. I mean read your own quote. :lol

First of all Mr. Spin Doctor, I said showing tolerance. I did not say promoting. That type of mis-quoting is a weak way to support your point.

And there is a vast difference between my failing at making a point and your refusal to acknowledge it. That is not fail on my part, but yours. Michael Vick being a thug is absolutely not the point that I am making. Only a suppoting aspect.

I notice that you like to throw the word "uneducated" around a lot. I think you may be projecting.

OK. Let me try to explain this one last time.

I stated very clearly (and it shows in the very quote that you posted even though you edited it for your own purpose, [and you accuse ME of spin, another seeming projection]) that the actions of the individual players do not affect my opinion of the team as a whole. It does affect my opinion of that individual. But Ben Roethlisberger assaulting women and Michael Vick being an all-around thug do not make me like or dislike the teams they play for. I perfectly understand that the team has no power to stop those behaviors. Had you paid attention to the entire post, you would see that I mentioned that my feelings would be the same for Ben as they are for Michael should it be brought to light that Ben is guilty. And that it is shame on the Steelers for keeping him, or shame on another team for picking him up like the Eagles did with Vick, if the Steelers let him go...again...IF it comes to light that he committed these acts against women.

It is how the team handles these individuals after those behaviors have manifested themselves that weighs on my opinion of a team. And the Steelers have historically...as I have stated...shown less tolerance for these shenanigans than most other NFL teams have. And although the Steelers have addressed a couple of these issues in a way that I disagree with, they have never gone as far toward showing tolerance for these behaviors as the Eagles showed with the Micheal Vick signing. I was disappointed when I found out the Steelers seriously CONSIDERED Vick. Whether or not a given player who commits an extremely heinous act did it while he was with the team that hires them makes no difference to me at all.

Get this...I DO NOT CARE THAT THE EAGLES HAVE ONLY 7 ARRESTS SINCE 2000 AND THAT THE STEELERS HAVE 15. THE TEAMS CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR. BUT HOW THE TEAM HANDLES THE PLAYERS AFTERWARD SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE TEAM. THERE ARE ALSO TEAMS IN THE NFL THAT HAVE QUITE A FEW MORE ARRESTS THAN THE STEELERS BUT THEY HAVE DEALT WITH THOSE ISSUES IN A WAY THAT SHOWS THEY HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR THE BEHAVIORS.

I hope we are on the same sheet of music, now.

browns rock. they like players that run over people and carry guns into airports. they also like to give their players staph infections to test their commitment.

McNabb traded to Washington! The Kevin Kolb era has begun. Time for this team to rebuild. :rock

We will miss you number 5! :monkey2

I can't believe that the Eagles traded him to Washington. I had to check to see if it was still April 1st. :lol

Yeah but it makes sense. Apparently the Eagles made a classy move and traded him where he picked. So props to them. I can't wait now to watch him get sacked, or I can't wait for him to watch him eat us alive. Honestly I like the guy a ton! So it will be awesome to watch those games. :rock

McNabb's a Redskin? Wow.

Kind of a shame the Eagles took a dump on him...the dude's good...just inconsistent.

Will make for 2 great games next season, that's for sure....

Willie Parker is a Redskin now, as well. Too bad things went South between Willie and the Steelers. I liked him and I have to wonder how much of the injury time he had was due to him and how much was due to an "O" line that has not been at the top of it's game, lately.

so is larry johnson...I think washington will make some waves next year

Washington already had a great defense, so they have some foundation to work with.

I remember when Neil O'Donnell went to the Jets. I can't remember another Steelers player having as promising a career wiped out as he did when he went there as a free agent. Holmes' career wasn't as promising, but I wonder how he will end up now.

Bradshaw on Burger Dope:

In a recent interview, Terry Bradshaw had a few words for Ben Roethlisberger: Stay out of trouble. That's sound, if simplistic, advice that Roethlisberger has yet to grasp. I second all of it, except for maybe the part about Roethlisberger doing whatever he wants after his career. Illegal is illegal, if you're an active NFL player or not. What was that bit about Roethlisberger not paying any attention to Bradshaw? Well, as it turns out, they don't like each other. Bradshaw explained: "Our relationship is not any good. When I told him to park the motorcycle, he got pissed. Alright? Then he had the accident. And since then, there's, you know ... he doesn't like me, and I'm learning not to like him." I have a feeling you're not the only one, Terry.

I am actually ALMOST to the point where I would prefer that the Steelers get rid of him like they did Holmes.
