You're not alone, Marc. There's dissatisfaction all over Steeler Nation, about Ben Roethlisberger's serial immaturity, Santonio Holmes' substance abuse and Jeff Reed's off-field antics. Right now, Roethlisberger is the target of most of the anger. I read it on Twitter and in direct emails to me and hear it from Steeler fans I've encountered in the past month. It's an epidemic. The good thing, I think, is that Steeler brass feels the same way. Ace beat man Ed Bouchette, in this morning's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports that Steelers president Art Rooney II was furious when he watched the Georgia district attorney detail Roethlisberger's sordid night of boozing with underage girls and the furtive dalliance that created the latest firestorm around the Steelers' franchise quarterback.

Roethlisberger is a complete idiot. You know you have screwed up in the past, you know people will be out looking for this of thing, and you do it anyway. He's definetely immature, overrated as a QA, and to me, just dumb. These guys are on winning lottery tickets just pissing it all away....

Broncos trading Brandon Marshall to Miami for two 2nd round picks. This next week should be interesting. I also read that the Packers are very interested in Westbrook.

Marshall is a great receiver...but the Dolphins will regret giving him that much guaranteed money with his constant problems off the field regarding woman and stuff.

LOL...My wife's cousin has a new radio show at CSULB (I think). We were listening to his debut show last night, he was talking about being in the midst of a bunch of hot college girls and he cracked a good one about not "doing a Roethlisberger".

the rumor I originally heard was this year's #1 pick plus a first round next year from St Louis, but that was before rumors of a suspension.

the price probably comes down a bit now.

That is exactly right. The Steelers were talking internally and eyeing a trade w/St. Louis for the #1. But they know that Ben's baggage drops his value to other teams. And they are planning the discipline at the same time. So even if he gets traded...he will have to sit out games for whoever picks him up...making his value drop even more.

I also read that a police officer resigned over all of this.

Was it because he feels it was white-washed?

Edit - I just read the story. This whole incident reall smells bad.

What makes me mad about this is that I do not feel that I can be objective because objectivity feels so much more like denial.

Looks like the NFL is scheduling division only games during the final week before playoffs for ALL teams. They are trying to avoid teams clinching spots and then laying down on their last game of the season. I personally like this change. :rock

All I can say about this is WTF?!?!?

Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb has encouraged the team's coaching staff to consider signing free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, despite the acrimony that marked their time as Philadelphia Eagles teammates, according to multiple sources.

Coach Mike Shanahan told ESPN's Ed Werder that the Redskins are not actively pursuing Owens. A team source said the Redskins have made upgrading their wide receiver position a high priority, but prefer to avoid bringing Owens to their locker room if another solution can be found.

A source close to McNabb told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio that McNabb and Owens recently talked about the possibility of reuniting while recently shooting an episode for a television show in Los Angeles. The "Pros v. Joes" episode features McNabb and T.O. playing together on the same basketball team. The episode is scheduled to air on Spike in July.

Whatever potential there is for a McNabb-Owens reunion would serve to further heighten interest in the two regular-season games between the NFC East rival Redskins and Eagles this season. At their pinnacle, McNabb and Owens were Super Bowl teammates; in the end, Owens hinted vaguely that McNabb suffered a failure of nerve that cost Philadelphia a world championship and suggested the quarterback contributed to the Eagles releasing him.

Owens spent the 2009 season with the Buffalo Bills, the fourth team of his NFL career, finishing with the worst stats of his career as a starter. While Owens is widely viewed as a player in decline, Shanahan's first minicamp with the Redskins provided some insight into the Redskins' concerns at that position. Veterans Jerry Porter and Marques Hagans participated, and the team on Monday signed Hagans and Roydell Williams, who hasn't played since 2007 with the Tennessee Titans.

The Redskins are a four-win team with limited resources to acquire talent in this week's NFL draft. Trading a second-round pick to the NFC East rival Eagles for McNabb left the Redskins with an NFL-low four picks.

I like that idea as well. The sloughing of the playoff teams seems to frequently cost fantasy teams in their Superbowls. But more importantly...that will help to stop some situations where NFL teams are cost a playoff spot due to a clinched team mailing in a game at the end of the season. I think I would not even mind if they packed the last three weeks with division games.

Yeah I think the Eagles knew about McNabbs obvious drug abuse and that's why they traded him. :lol Seriously what are you thinking about Donovan. Please for the sake of the Skins, do a couple back flips and pull your head outta your ass. :lecture

WTF!!! Seriously reading ESPN today is like watching the local news. :horror

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Eric Foster faces allegations that he sexually assaulted a 22-year-old college student before the AFC Championship Game.

Foster

In a civil lawsuit, the woman accuses Foster of sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Her suit alleges the assault happened Jan. 24 at University Place Hotel at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. The woman is a student at the school and a receptionist at the hotel.

The suit alleges that Foster assaulted her when she delivered dental products to his room.

The Colts were staying at the hotel before hosting the New York Jets at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Colts spokesman Craig Kelley declined to comment Tuesday on the lawsuit

LOL...fortunately...the Redskins seem to have zero interest in the idea except as a desparation move.
