WTF!!! Seriously reading ESPN today is like watching the local news. :horror

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Eric Foster faces allegations that he sexually assaulted a 22-year-old college student before the AFC Championship Game.

Foster

In a civil lawsuit, the woman accuses Foster of sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Her suit alleges the assault happened Jan. 24 at University Place Hotel at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. The woman is a student at the school and a receptionist at the hotel.

The suit alleges that Foster assaulted her when she delivered dental products to his room.

The Colts were staying at the hotel before hosting the New York Jets at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Colts spokesman Craig Kelley declined to comment Tuesday on the lawsuit

greeeeat :angelsmil

Vikes vs Saints at NO first game of the season.

Jeez i wonder why they set it up that way :)

Revenge is gonna be sweet!

Dont see how it would be sweet, its just a regular season game. The playoff win by the Saints ment something.

First game of the year, and you WIN it against the team that kept you outta the SB. Seems like the right way to start off a new season and take a shot at it again.

(revenge might be a strong word, just cause it's a regular season game. Then again every win means SOMETHING. And looking at the Vikes schedule this year they're gonna need every win)

I don't see why the Steelers need Leftwich. Charlie Batch has always done just fine stepping in for Roethlisberger except the time he broke his hand. Leftwich was never really impressive other than the TD against the Redskins.

And I don't see the trade as a marginal upgrade. I see it as a downgrade. I think Roethlisberger is a very, very good QB. It will hurt the team's success to lose him...but I firmly support the decision to send him out.

Edit - And now we will have a new Cornerback whose name means "My father is alive"...interesting.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying its an upgrade overall, I'm just talking about the rumored return for him. The jump between 8 and 18 is minimal.

I think even the trade for the #1 pick would have been a poor return.

The rumor about the #1 this year and a first rd next year I thought was a pretty fair trade even without the off the field issues.

"They never viewed it as likely from the onset, but they were extremely open to it."

If they were extremely open to a potential trade, then why was it never viewed as likely to happen? Any team would be "extremely open" to some ridiculous deal working in their favor, that I guess Pittsburgh was hoping for. Anyway. . .

What they never viewed as likely from the start is the specific wish trade that they bounced around where they got the #1 draft pick this year so they could get Sam Bradford.

Other than that...Ben Roethlisberger has become a bargain basement deal. Nobody is likely to touch him for anything like a good deal because of his off-field baggage and the 4-6 games that they will not be able to field him this year and the Steelers are not kidding themselves about that.

But whoever does...will get a very, very good QB if they can get him to leave the high school attitude behind him.

And I must say that I am not surprised that the Raiders are looking at him. There must be a warm fuzzy feeling of kinship wafting through "Raider Nation" right now. I wonder when the Cowboys are going to throw their hat in.
