Next Wednesday Hard Knocks starts up on HBO. I look forward to it every year despite the team it's covering.

If anything the Jets and their inflated egos should provide high comedy.

I figure the Pats will never be on HK, since Belichick would never go for it.

I kinda feel sorry for the camera-man that gets to cover the room where Revis sits around pouting. Haha.

T minus one day.

And so, we come to the end of the wait. Although the first month is (arguably) "meaningless" games, I still very much enjoy watching them. To me, the preseason games are both a pleasant preview of the coming season as well as a welcome break in the anual 6 month NFL drought. I will be tuning in to the game (if it is televised locally, which I will not be surprised to find not happening) and using it to assist in evaluating players for my fantasy team and to catch up on all of the off-season NFL drama that is sure to fog the pre-season. And I say...

let's get it on, already!

Yeah, that moment was really cool. I'm no cowboy fan or anything like that but it was nice. He didn't speak all that well you can tell its not his thing but I'm glad to see the best WR ever and IMO one of the best football players ever in Rice go in. Man, I miss my days of Montana/Rice or Young/Rice.

Things like this make me thankful for the Pats' run during the early part of the decade. Stupid Tyree:cuss

That was awesome finally seeing LeBeau get inducted into the HOF.

I am on the fence, though, about his being entered as a player instead of as a coach. Not that he sucked when he was with the Lions, but I personally believe his biggest contributions have been in a coaching role.

Growing up in the Bay Area I loved these guys. There are not a lot of players that I remorse getting old and retiring but Montana and Young are in that short list. Wish they could be 30 forever just so we could watch them gunsling. Same with Kurt Warner.

My own opinion is that Joe Montana is the single greatest player in NFL History.

And on a side note, I firmly believe that Dan Marino WOULD have been the single greatest Player in NFL history if he had ended up on the Steelers.:)

I can never put a receiver as the greatest overall player, just because he relies so heavily on another player to get the ball to him. I tend to rank QBs and RBs over them. Rice is certainly the best receiver of all time though because so much of his work was after the catch and he was never afraid to crash up the middle.
