I am beyond pissed off right now. Why the ____ would you trade McNabb and replace him with Vick? :monkey4

What a waste of time. ____ing liar! This was probably some master plan of his all along.

Well Reid has been kind to my family. I will say that. So for now I will keep my mouth shut going forward until I calm down. I just needed to vent. :peace

LOL

Reid looks like a spineless wimp here. I'm sure the owner caved into public pressure, and that's why he had to do a 180. I think it is the right decision, but he put it all out there, saying Kolb was the starter.

It's ____ing bull ____! It's unacceptable.

You don't trade McNabb if this was your intent. You just don't do it.

I hope McNabb has a career day against the Eagles. I can HONESTLY say that. I cheered for Cunningham when he went to the Vikes. Even bought a Vikes hat and had it for a year.

I think this has all been a master plan by Philly to up Vick's value so they can get handsomely reimbursed for him.

Or worse! Say they wanted him all along as a starter? Sorry but D Mac is better then Vick.

I agree. McNabb has had his health issues, but he's been pretty good the last 2 season. Damn near took em to the SB again on the road. Between the 2 PA teams there is some serious QB drama going on. Hell, just send Kolb out to the Burgh for the next 2 weeks, we could use him.

Wasn't the main critique that McNabb couldn't win the big game? I know that Vick has been in the playoffs a few times, but he isn't known as a guy who cracks under pressure. . .I don't know. I always liked McNabb more, personally. It does seems a bit premature to make Vick the starter, though. The Packers didn't really prepare to take him on as the starter, and the Lions. . .well, they're the Lions. Vick has the potential to play fantastically on a given night, but he isn't all that consistent. Even our formerly crap-tastic Saints defenses were able to shut him down as often as they weren't.

Yeah and Kolb came in off the bench and threw for over 300 yards against the Saints best last year.

I just don't understand this decision.

I would be perfectly happy trading Rapistberger to Philly for Kolb.

Agreed, but unfortunately we're stuck rooting for the rapist to suceed. I don't like Ben and wish the Rooneys would have gotten rid of him, but I'm not going to root against him out of spite when the rest of the roster is full of decent human beings who don't deserve to suffer because of his arrogance. Go Steelers!!

You can't rate the guy off of 2 starts. Put him in 2 grueling seasons with success and then let's speak highly of him.

Although people are proclaiming Vick the savior of Philly, on a sub and a start. One against a team that didn't have defensive plays set for him, the other against one of the worst teams in the NFL.

People seem to forget that when you look at it, Vick was never a great QB. At his best, he was above average. People bring up the Pro Bowls, but when you look at some of the people who have stepped onto the field in a Pro Bowl, you realize how meaningless they truly are.

Reid is doing this in an attempt to save his job, at the expense of the franchise.

EXACTLY!

Couldn't have said it better myself. If you spent the money on the kid and have been "grooming" him for 3 years PLUS sent your main guy (McNabb) packing why wouldn't you start him?

Thats the WHOLE point!

Yeah but the one game McNabb won to get them to the SB was against Vick:dunno

You are correct. At the time they were without TO as well.

I wont forget that game, it was the game that made me HATE the Eagles. That weekend was hell, stuck in a hotel with a bunch of D bags scream the stupid eagles chant all day and night every time they saw someone with something eagles on, and I think I was the only person who didn't have eagles stuff on at the hotel.

I will never forget that game either. It was fantastic! :rock

Vick got owned during that game. :rock

But how many chances did Vick have in big games as opposed to McNabb. I'm not defending Vick here, btw. I can't stand him and would shed no tears if he was fired tomorrow and never got another job. But McNabb seemed to cave when the pressure came, and I think that must be what annoyed Philly fans. I can't figure what else it could have been. With Vick, I think this is an unanswered question. When he lost in big games, I think it was because he was being his usual, inconsistent self. It wasn't that he played supremely well during the regular season like McNabb frequently did. Winning the NFC South usually isn't an amazing accomplishment.
