Its a no brainer move, but if the Broncos don't win the SB with Manning this will be the worst FA signing of all time. You don't throw $96m at someone and roll over a fan favorite without having that pressure. If they don't win it within 3 years, Elway is going to get roasted alive which will be amazing to see considering his legacy here.

I hope they keep Tebow to save the day when Manning gets killed by Oakland or KC.

Peyton could've have come at a better time. Our schedule is going to be grueling.

(H)Steelers, (H)Texans, (H)Saints, (A)Pats, (A)Falcons, (A)Ravens, (A)Panthers, (H)Bucs

Looks like the deal is done. 96 mil' instead of 95 mil'. Well now Tebow is on the block. Going sit back and enjoy this right here...:D

Let get him out of town ASAP!

im sorry but the energy and excitement he brought to the team last year helped win a lot of games. yeah you could say it was luck and he isnt a pocket passer but having orton or quinn in there at qb would have made the broncos and colts competing for the number 1 draft choice this year. i understand that our defense kept us in games and i could say it was them that deserved all the credit but they didnt play like that with orton starting. like i said before that having peyton is great for our team and i hope we keep tebow so he could learn as much as he can from him and give him the starting job 3 years from now or by some chance peyton does get hurt we already know the coaching staff is flexiable enough to cater to tebow's strengths. so hopefully he stays but if not i hope he does succeed with whichever team he goes to as a qb and not have to change positions

There is nothing that I can say that I honestly disagree with in your statement. You make a good point about keeping him, but that's going to be a hard thing to do. Especially when they could use the cap space to fill other needs. I would say that if we can't get anything good for him on the trading block, keep him. If we can get a high 2nd Rd. pick for him in this years draft. Trade him. Don't get me wrong if he's moved I'll be pulling for him to be successful except against our Broncos of course. I do see your point and a good one at that. Let see what happens now...:)

I don't know, but taking the $19m a year now going to Peyton and dividing it between an elite RB, TE and another pass rusher would have helped him a lot.

It's going hurt because next year he's getting 40 million...:(

You're right, we need at least one SB win to justify this FA signing. But that's why I'm saying we need to trade Tebow and get some draft picks for him. Because with that type of money tied up in our QB. The talent that we need is going to have to be cheap. Hence draft picks and multiple picks. Starting with a good trade deal for Tebow.

So it looks like the 49ers will sign Smith... They were smart for going after Manning, but I'm thinking the sticking point ended up being money. They knew there wasn't much of a market for Alex, so why not kick Peyton's tires and see what happens?

:lecture I always like Elway when I was growing up, but he never seemed to like Tebow one bit despite him filling the stands and support from fans. Not to mention he did a pretty good job with last season despite his shortcomings.

But Tebow won't make much money the next 3 years. Probably about the same as any back up QB would. 2nd round pick for him? I'd probably agree to trade him as that could equal a really good RB. But if you can't get that, why not keep him?

Look how the Colts have played in late season games without Peyton and obviously last year. They don't invest anything in a good back up. If Peyton went out due to injury honestly there is no one available I'd rather have come in than Tebow. NO ONE can run the Peyton offense (as we've seen in Indy) but at least Tebow could come in and just be Tebow and win.

Once again I can't argue with any of the points that you have made. I want to see the Broncos get max value for him in a trade. That's all that I want for our team. If we can't get that, then I'm on that boat with you as far as keeping him a Bronco for the foreseeable future. Can't hurt to sit behind of the the games greatest QB's and learn.

I don't think anyone is giving up a 2nd rounder for Tebow, sorry. Maybe Oakland, if they have one. I'd say best bet is a 4th. I think Denver wants to get as far from Tebow as possible. After having some success and his rabid fan base...if Payton has a bad game...well, you know what they'll start doing.

Don't think Peyton would get the Orton treatment. Especially not after one bad game. Which his bad game will be nothing like Orton's bad games. I think Denver fans are smarter than that, and if he has one bad game. I'm sure he'll follow it up with a few great games.

No no, I wasn't referring to Denver fans. I meant Tebow fans. I think they are tebow's worst enemy...and his accuracy.

peyton's bad game would equal to orton's greatest game of his career:exactly:

I personally think Peyton is an idiot for coming back at all. It's not worth the risk. He's already going to the hall of fame. He doesn't have the time left to break any significant record. He's already got money. Take a job on ESPN making easy money talking about football.
