You really have a strong dislike for the Ravens.
As a Vikings fan it's already been pre-determined we get a shot at the Super Bowl once every 9 years. That's why that loss to the Saints in the '09 championship game was so crushing.
that would be putting it lightly. The only two players I had respect for as people were cut last year (Mason and Heap). Ray Lewis should be in jail, that team plays dirty- but remains in the League's good graces, John Harbaugh is a punk-ass-bawl-baby-***** (on a good day), someone needs to hit Boldin in the face and straighten his blew eyes, Ray Rice has severe little-man-syndrome ..... I could go on all day. Oh, that fan at Colt's camp wearing a James Harrison jersey being asked to take it off- that was because Zbikowski (ex-Raven) complained to the coach BECAUSE it was a Steelers jersey. (I was at Steelers camp in Latrobe right after that and saw a girls in a Colts Peyton Manning jersey on, and jokingly told her they'd make her take that off. She laughed.) I actually do think Suggs and Ngata are great players and would love to see them in Pittsburgh.
Just hold in there, buddy. I can see some good things forming there. It just sucks for Vikings fans that Green Bay and Detroit are entering their prime as its happening.
That is what drives me nuts about XLII. Eli played like crap most of the game and was given MVP because his recievers caught a few lollipops he threw up at the end of the game. Justin Tuck was the MVP of that game. Tuck, Osi, and Strahan made the Pats O-line look like turnstiles all game.
I'll give him more credit for XLVI, but again it took a pretty ridiculous catch from Manningham to get them into striking distance. Oh, if Welker would have just caught the damn ball.
In XLII, the Pat's had a damn good defense. I just wonder which Giants fan sold their soul to the Devil to see them win. I mean Eli got out of a hell of a pass rush, and Davis (yeah, who?) made a catch on one of the most physical players in recent memory- something odd happened there. Steve Spagnola should've been the first coach in history to be a Super Bowl MVP. His defensive game plan for that game was nothing short of brilliant! He was the only person in 19 games to say "we're better than them. I'm going to make them beat us!" And it worked.
XLVI- ehhh, Eli better send Billy Cundiff a gift basket for missing that FG, because if he'd have made some of those throws against the Ravens he'd probably have had 3 or more INTs. But again, not MVP playing. Tuck was a monster from the Pat's 1st offensive snap. Forcing a safety and 2 sacks, plus pretty much taking away any chance the Pats had of running on his side. So many "experts" brag about JPP because of 1 decent season, and they want to be able to say "I knew back then"- whatever, BS, Justin Tuck is the real deal every season. He is so dissed by the "experts", but he stays humble about it. Tuck is one of my favorite non-Steelers.
Now Giants "fans" spout off "Eli hases too supper boel MVPs". Yeah, that's great. He also looks like he eats Play-Doh.
