02-03 and 03-04 were awesome seasons for Belfour with the Leafs, he was runner up for the Vez.

On July 2, 2002, Belfour signed as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs after then Leafs goaltender, Curtis Joseph, chose to sign with the Detroit Red Wings. Belfour rebounded after a dismal season with the Stars, winning a franchise-record 37 games and helping his new team finish second in the Northeast Division. His 2.26 GAA ranked 11th in the league. During the season, he was invited to play in the mid-season All-Star Game in Florida, but a back injury forced him to miss the event. On April 1, he earned his 400th career win in a match against the Devils. In the playoffs, Belfour posted a 2.71 GAA and a .915 Save% in seven games in an opening-round loss to the Flyers. On April 16 in Game Four at the Air Canada Centre, Ed made 72 saves before losing 3-2 on an overtime goal by Mark Recchi. Belfour finished as runner-up for the Vezina Trophy, won that year by the Devils' Martin Brodeur.

In 2003–04, he posted a 34-19-6 record in 59 games as the Maple Leafs finished fourth overall in the conference standings. He recorded a 2.13 GAA and a .918 save percentage along with ten shutouts. On April 3 in the final game of the season, Belfour posted a 6-0 shutout over the Senators to secure home ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs. That shutout gave him 10 on the season, setting a new personal best. In the playoffs, Belfour posted three shutouts in the opening round against the Senators, setting a record for shutout streaks in a series. However in the second round, former teammate Jeremy Roenick eliminated the Leafs by putting a game 6 overtime goal past Belfour.

Good enough to be remembered in my opinion.

I know what you're saying, he was the last goalie to put up a great year for the Leafs in goal, and you have had a lot of dud goalies with dud years since then. Still, I think his time was too short and he was too old. I tend to look over a year.. they go by so quick... or else I would be sold that goalies like the Andrew Raycrofts and the Jim Carreys of the world are some of the best goalies ever to lace it up.

The fact that you own a Pronger jersey brings 1 point down in the cool books. The guy is a complete _______ and someone who is a fan of that... *shudders* Sorry, say what you will about Crosby but atleast he doesn't send guys to the emergency room with concussions. I do not like that dinkasaurus one bit... so don't get mad when someone gets a bit chippy at you for sporting a Pronger jersey. Granted, the hitting you part was not cool. Even wearing that prick's jersey doesn't allow for someone to hit you.

I do like you ringer, but Pronger? C'mon! Why not Richards or Carter?

Didn't douche bag Pronger also cheat on his wife with a Edmonton local while he was playing there, with his wife giving him an ultimatum to request a trade or she would have left him?.

Yes he did... he's a piece of ____. But I guess if anyone will support him it's a Flyers fan. :panic:

I have been browsing on MeiGray but, still not sure.

Haha so, i read Pronger is a size 9 or 10 for shoes which is crazy for 6'6, frig i wear size 11 US shoes and i am a bit over 5'8.

I have to agree. Milbury is the definitive schmo when it comes to GMs. At least Burkey generally has a plan, though 2 consecutive early first rounders to Boston for Kessel had everyone scratching their heads as Burkey wasn't really in competition with any other GM for him. He could have held out for less as Boston was trying to get rid of Kessel. I bet Burkey could have gotten Kessel with one first rounder. For whatever reason, Burkey thought the Leafs were going to do much better, which basically shows how well he knows his team on the ice. Guys like Komi and Beaucheman looked way better because of their defensive pairings on their former teams.

That Kessels deal was pure Milbury quality GMing all over it. Don't even tell me it wasn't.

Did I tell you it wasn't? My post clearly suggests that Burkey's moves with Toronto this year weren't good.

:thud:

idk man I have alway liked him ever since his blue days

Your team made a hell of a run. Losing to a team stacked like the Hawks isn't really something to be ashamed of. To hell with these people that hop aboard the wagon when the playoffs start and get right back off when the team loses.

I was rocking my Winter Classic Bergeron jersey yesterday and was getting copious amounts of ____ from people. Seriously just ____ them. I look forward to the day when I can skip work for a Stanley Cup parade.:)

I forgot to say that the couple times I have worn my WC Charra jersey I always get compliments. :hi5:

I said this earlier in this thread... I would love to have Pronger on my team.

Word, _______ that he is, hes a great player, who cares what he does off the ice. Like everyone in this thread doesnt know or themselves cheated on their wives are acted like a ____.

I have a signed Lafleur stick, though not game used.
How much is that Lemieux gear worth? 1k-2k?

1K which is nice since his jerseys go for 10-15K. Some even more. Depends on the jersey. btw Nice on the Lafleur signed stick. I am just into game worn and used items. Love owning a piece of hockey history.

I don't cheat and I consider that as much as a sin as stealing. I have broken up with people for cheating.

Like I said most of what I dislike about the guy is as a player on the ice, so don't know what ____ you guys been smoking. Valfar brought up the affair, but that makes me dislike him even more.

You have 15k to spend on a game worn jersey?

lol No, but one day maybe. Most I would spend on a Lemieux gamer is 6,000 and I seen those as well. That's cheap actually for a Mario jersey.

I do own Henrik Sedin's gamer... he's the NHL leading scorer and if he wins the Hart and Ted Lindsay I can see a huge price jump in my jersey. I wouldn't be surprised if I can make a 400 percent profit if I sell it come the Fall.
