Luca might be just what we need, he could play on a line with Kadri next year, i say its a fair trade.

Here's to hoping the Bruins pick up someone tomorrow who can roof the puck past a goalie laying down.

That was painful tonight. 3-4 shots that should have been goals. I guess they just have to pick it with Leafs Tank Nation coming to town Thursday.

Well, i would love to see Kaberle wave his no trade and see him get traded to Boston for our 1st round pick back..not going to happend though lol.

NOW LUCA CAPUTI I KNOW! And I feel he was the Pens best prospect on the wing! I am so sad to see him go. But we need help now and we get that urgency in Alexei Ponikarovsky.

Having said that the Leafs will win this trade in two years. He was the 4th best scorer in his final year in the OHL (66-51-60-111), and outscored Stamkos in scoring at age 19. He started off his professional career with a bang, scoring 8 points in 19 games in the playoffs for the Wilkes-Barre Penguins.

He started his pro rookie campaign with the Baby Pens with a lackluster 2 goals and 5 points in his first 18 games, but went on a scoring tear by being his team's best scorer down the stretch scoring nearly at a point-per-game pace. Earned a late season call-up the same season recording a goal in his first ever shift, accomplishing a feat that only one other Pen, Mario Le Magnifique pulled off.

He scores most of his goals from within 10 feet of the net, and plays in high traffic areas. He is very capable of taking the body, playing a banging game, and will get into fights. Very strong along the corners and boards. Will win battles, and has a great acceleration. These are all assessments I have made from following his career. He has great soft hands and a great wrister.

I projected him as a top-six winger with the ability to score 25-30 goals and 60-80 points. That was however as a member of the Pens. Belieiving he would compliment Crosby or Malkin. Because of his Canadian background, I was guessing Crosby was going to eventually become his centerman. Now that has changed, I see him still putting numbers similar to Alexei Ponikarovsky. Either way, we got an Alexei of now, and you have gotten one for tomorrow. Smart trade on both teams parts. I just wished we had traded Eric Tangradi opposed to Luca Caputi.

I like Caputi for the name alone, but if it had to be one or the other I would prefer keeping Tangredi myself. Granted he is young and will only get better, but the few times he was on the big league roster he didn't do anything to prove he deserved the spot of some of the other AHLers. Sucks too, my buddy got tix again for 2 rows behind the net for bears vs. baby pens this saturday. I was hoping to see him play again. Such is life at the deadline.

I will say our GM is friggin awesome. I'm sure were all but done other than maybe a minor league move. At least i hope so

Prax, did you see the buffalo game last night? How did Leopold look?

I caught most of it, from what I saw he looked decent. They mostly had him paired with Gogo and sometimes with Gonchar. I think of course it will be awhile till he gets the system down, but at least he did not look out of place. From what I read Poni isn't playing tomorrow so I guess their having visa problems getting him in the country.

I will say though it was a 3-2 game it really seemed like we controlled the game. Rupp and Talbot seemed rejuvenated especially and Gogo had a decent game too. Maybe the break is what we needed to get everyone healed, rested and healthy.

Cool, thx

Ya, I thought this break would help us tremendously, weve played alot of hockey in the past 3 seasons :)

Well, that was closer than it needed to be. The unnecessary OT/SO was fun, but it would have been better if Savard had just buring the puck in the open net during regulation.

Timmy was pretty good for a guy who's played about 10 minutes in the last month.

That was also the first home win of 2010! No, the Winter Classic doesn't count.

That Bos vs Tor game tonight was great! even though Toronto lost.

Loved the back to back fights, I also loved Booth taking on Richards the other night, give the guy credit.

Dont think the Bruins make the playoffs...

This wouldn't surprise me. After 5 months they still haven't been consistent at all or all healthy at the same time. The more I see, the more I truly believe they just overachieved to a great extent last year.

Last year when Scott Walker's soft goal went in I sat in my seat at the Garden for minutes in shock. Then I thought they would be back strong next year building off this season. Little did I know things would come crashing back down to earth so soon.:(

Here's to hoping the lottery balls go the B's way or Edmonton goes on a tear to end the year.
