Important lesson from this series: having skill trumps not having skill. Tired of these lumbering ____faces who can't skate, never mind finish.

You're right. All things being equal, every team in the league would have loved to have faced Pittsburgh and Washington before the all mighty and scary Flyers.

Gimme a break. The Habs will skate circles around those lumbering oafs.
The Flyers will be facing real competition now. Bring it on.

Habs in 6, maybe 5, but I'm being nice.

:D

Are you posting from jail? 1 of the 41? :monkey1

Where were Savard and Bergeron?
I've seen these guys play outstanding games in the past.
When Lucic becomes your best player, you know you're in trouble...

Changes are a-coimin' in Beantown.

I doubt Savard is fully healthy.
As for Bergeron doesn't want to play against his hometown. :rotfl

I doubt they need to blow up the team. They have teh Leafs 1st round picks for the next two years :lol

Savard and Bergy were no shows for most of the series. Well Savard did show up tonight to give Philly a PP when his stick was held and he was called for hooking. I'm not going to get into NHL refereeing, it sucked both ways.

Lucic has been a good playoff performer. Hopefully next year he stays healthy and reaches his true potential. Especially considering next year is the first of that fat new contract he signed.

The real change in this series was losing Krejci. He was the playmaker setting everything up and scoring too.

I like the centers coming back for next year. Now the question will be whether they have Taylor Hall or Tyler Seguin on the wing.

Tuukka Rask's play in games 4-7 were questionable at best. In the short time he's been starter he's become a sort of folk hero to the bandwagoners that sprung up during the playoffs. Hopefully he bounces back next year from this and learns to control his rebounds. I don't know how many times he left juicy rebounds just waiting for a Flyer.

I don't think Savard was 100% either. He played okay, but not what I'd expect to see out of him if he was truly ready to go.

And Bergeron's from Quebec City, which is way better than Montreal.:wink1:

Rask play-off Save % is still better than Luongo's Play-off and regular season.

I don't know MTL is pretty crazy. Have you ever been there Club Super Sex, Topless Breakfasts and #$!$#$#@%!@%#

P.S. I'll trade you Jason Spezza and a 1st pick for Savard and Chara.

I've had my share of fun in Montreal, but not as much as Quebec City. There's the family ties too, they're all around or in QC. Come to think of it I'm not sure why I'm still living in the States.:lol

Spezza is good, but I couldn't stand hearing that Revenge of the Nerds laugh all the time.

Too bad about Tim Thomas. Sometimes it seems whenever a potentially good player signs the big contract, he never seems able to live up to the demands or expectations. I'd take a "top of his game" Thomas over Rask. Sadly, that player didn't seem to show up this year.
