great pens game last night. too bad they played so hard when they didn't need to and now they probably wore themselves out for tonight.

and i don't think St. Loius is leaving tampa. why do we think that every trade has to somehow go through Montreal? nobody wants to play in Canada. they'd rather live in Florida and So Cal. can you blame them?

Actually yes, I can... lol.

It's a shame there are players out there who don't care if their home rink is half empty on a nightly basis. Or worse, they don't care to play for a city who doesn't understands the sport or has to compete with college level rowing for attention...

Montreal is one of the best places, if not the best place in the world to play hockey. The fans are passionate. The media actually care enough to follow the team around from city to city. The rink sells out even if they play below 500.

So there's pressure to succeed... What the heck is so wrong with that?

Theres a flip side to that also man, which we both know all to well

Tonights game is terrible, thank god I traded my tickets for next weeks game. Stlll stand by my prediction 3-1 habs with an empty net, Pens look sloppy tonight, and the Habs are the Habs, praying for a good bounce to go there way :)

The Pens are nothing without Crosby. They were up against the slowest defenceman in the league, Spacek who is like 80, and three rookie defemncemen, and a bunch of forwards who appear to have forgotten how to pass and shoot the puck... Yeesh. That was brutal to watch. The Habs have to find a way to turn things around.

What is up with Malkin? This guy hasn't been himself in almost 2 years.

It was awful all around, even the shootout but the Pens played last night what was Mtl's excuse, theyve been off for 5 or 6 days... 2:00 5-3 and they stunk.

Gauthier is going to have to do something, squeaking into the playoffs is just not acceptable again

Montreal stinks right now and everyone knows it. I don't know if they're all playing injured, if they're tired, or if they're pissed at P.K. for being popular... Whatever the case may be, they're not going to get very far if they continue playing like this... Jeez, the Habs are terrified of playing the net. They need much tougher players up front.

If they play against teams like the Pens, Bruins, and the Caps, fine, they could beat them even with a crappy team on the ice because those teams don't really punish the body and the Habs actually thrive against teams like that. However, teams like the Flyers will crush them without breaking a sweat.

Throwing trash at Chara after the game. Stay classy Montreal.

This game really drilled home how much I loathe the Canadiens. Pacioretty and Gomez being tough guys after the game is over was cute too. It's too bad they don't play again for a month.

What an amazing win for the Habs... A bitter and crushing defeat for the Bruins.
If only the Habs could play the Pens and the Bruins every night.

:D

Oh c'mon. Don't be such a sore loser. If the Bruins came back from 2 zip to win with 2 minutes left, I doubt you'd be talking about a Thornton tap or trash talk on Gionta at the end of the game. Chara isn't a baby. I'm sure he's dealt with far worse.

There isn't a team in the league who can't learn from the Habs "don't give up" play tonight.
As long as you shoot to the net, anything can happen.

With all the mediocre play and big injuries, the Habs were hoping to turn things around at some point.

:)

P.S. If I was Julien, I'd bench Ryder for a month.

I remember another team getting trash thrown at them after a victory over the bruins.

Yeah, I was caught in the moment and a little pissed with the 3rd/OT performance.

Bottom line right now for this team is that Julien needs to go NOW.

The ____ really hit the fan after the 3-0 loss to Anaheim on 12/20. Since then they've gone 4-1-3, so they're essentially .500. They've also blown 2 leads in the final minute during that stretch (Buffalo, Montreal).

I don't think the team is really responding and keeping him around almost reinforces that what has been going on is okay. Add in a goaltending fiasco, and I think it's time to make a move.

You're blaming Julien for those two dumbo penalties by the Bruins??
Those were selfish and lazy individual plays which cost the Bruins two points. How can you blame Julien for that?

I actually had the Bruins as the team to beat early on in the year. I'm surprised by how much they underachieved. I'm thinking the team to beat now is the Flyers. That team has it all right now. I hate them... lol. Clearly, the Flyers brass know how to put a stellar team together in today's NHL.

Obviously those penalties are on Ryder and Wheeler respectively.

Someone needs to be held accountable for the team's performance and it falls at Julien's feet. He's been given the talent to work with and the results just aren't there.

Throw it at the net hopefully we get lucky is a great way to play hockey...

In all fairness it was an entertaining game, BUT MTL is so ____ing lucky, its unbelievable. I think Chara could have taken all four Habs at the end :)

Oh and the Pens, suck the ass lately, Boston tomorrow and the lucky Habs on Wed, I better hide for a week :)

You can hide until next September, if you like.

:rotfl

P.S. In the NHL, you don't wait for luck to happen. You make it happen.
Far more will happen by shooting at the net than by just passing it around waiting for that perfect play.
