I think the Price-Thomas fight was them mentally saying to each other "We're both having great seasons, don't get DiPietro'd" and just had a little tussle.

More people in the box than half the NHL arenas...

Montreal got what was coming to them. Patches got the whole team beat up, and Martin says they dont need to add a tough guy, what an idiot

It's 1976 in the NHL all over again.

Its fun to see a couple of fights, but these all out pointless brawls are just stupid. They should have just called the game last night, there were 3 guys left on the bench at the end.

Wonder how many games Goddard gets? They should throw the book at Gillies also, it w as an intentional elbow with intent to injure, then while Tangradi is now try to fight him? Thumbs up Gillies, dont forget your on the last place team. good job

That Pittsburgh and Islanders game was intense. I found it annoying how Gillis goes over Tangradi who had no intention of fighting and he asks the kid how he was doing... you wouldn't have to if you didn't go all goon on his ass. This was crazy retribution for the team. The Pens had it coming to them the way they played cocky. But did the Islanders have to dress so many big bruisers out there? lol That was funny to see Haley take on a skater then go for Johnson... geez. Crazy stuff. I am just happy I signed Matt Martin when I did in my keeper league because he got me an assist and 27 PIMs in that game! :yess:

not too sorry i missed that. that kind of stuff is fun once in a while but they don't need to turn the whole game into a Royal Rumble. i watched the Ducks/Flames game instead. much more interesting. 40 year old Selanne had a 4 point game. not too shabby. and rookie Fowler scored the game winner with 18 seconds left in OT. much more exciting than street fighting.

How many goals did Johnson let go before they put Fluery out?

6 goals on 19 shots. Awful. But it's one game. So I am not concerned. Plus we played a hungry team that wanted retribution and proved they could beat us. Of course, a Malkin and Crosbyless Penguins team.

Yes, Teemu Selanne is an enigma. 52 points in 47 games. Prorated out in a 82 game schedule that is 90 points. Damn! And to think he'll be 41 this year. Name the last 41-year-old to be able to muster 90 points in a season in the NHL. Still thinking of that? Well, you'll be shocked to find out the last player to do that was during the 1968/1969 season... Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe! Yup. Nobody in 42 years has been able to do what Selanne has. That's frigging amazing!
